Glacier and Copper Men (3rd June 2005).

The following is one of the most entertaining dreams that I have written down, (I probably have only written down about 10% of my dreams - including a lot of interesting ones - in the last few years).

It is a good atmosphere when I walk into the woods to a place I have been before, and it takes a long time to walk there. I am walking to a glacier. Despite leaving at perhaps lunch time, by the time I arrive it is very late afternoon, and some sunlight is still at the top of bushes etc when I first arrive and this makes the atmosphere good and rewarding for getting where I had aimed at getting. A tent is there and I find that Alex (my friend who is the same age as me), is staying there. He was probably one of the ones I originally came to the glacier with.

I look in the tent and say hi, and he is laying down under a sleeping bag or duvet with one girl on either side; I think one of them is Sam and the other is a blonde girl I don't know. They are both about 19. Me and Alex excitedly talk and joke and then while I'm still in the tent maybe reading, and Sam is out of the tent, Alex and the other girl start having sex next to me.

She gets on top of Alex and they only take a couple of minutes. I just assume this is the kind of thing they've been doing all weekend but it turns out it has been more innocent and I hear the girl say 'is that the first affair you've had?' and Alex says 'yeah', and the girl says 'me too'.

After they have finished I talk to Alex and feel the girl's leg and arse for a while opportunistically while she is laying around and probably not going to mind after just having had sex. When talking to Alex he tells me that he had changed his name - informally of course - to Gordon something rather than Alex.

I go out of the tent soon and while early evening with only about half an hour more of light likely, with everything shadowed but with the sky still blue, I try and get to the glacier, though I know it's a bad idea and that I won't get there and back while there is still light and that I have to wait until the next morning.

I walk through a few darkening fields but then backtrack again after about a couple of minutes, knowing there is no point in trying to get to the glacier yet.

The dream now takes a different turn and I am walking through a house party in the grounds of a large house, and when I walk inside it changes to a shopping centre, and a very gory scene.

It all starts when I notice a very strange looking 'man' taking the escalators up the levels of the shopping centre. He stands up straight and looks like he is made of copper or something. He is made of some kind of metal I think. He is wearing clothes but his face is alien. He is also very tall/big built.

It starts when he gets to the top of an escalator and he pushes a man down into the escalator so that he gets sucked into it and skinned, and blood and fragments of him are spat out at the bottom of the escalator, as well as an echoed scream.

People get alert when they hear this scream and the place becomes chaotic. I run to the top of the shopping centre and manage to avoid the metal man as he sprints around trying to kill everyone. He leaves a couple of people on the top storey to sprint down to the next one down and kill people there.

I then realise that there are several of these metal men and there is one on most of the stories of the shopping centre. I have to dangle from the edge of the storey and drop down and grab onto the rails on the next storey, and do this a few times, but then I finally have to just jump down into a fountain at the bottom.

There are several little pools at the bottom. I was sure that I'd get killed by the metal men when I jumped, but in the water, (about 3 or 4 feet deep), I notice guys getting bjs off of girls. There are about three of these couples, and I realise that the metal men can't see underwater, or even if you are just covered in water, so I stay in the pool. I think it best not to tell the people in there because they are not aware of the massacre that is going on anyway.

I get back to Alex's tent eventually and he is still there with his girlfriend. Because he has been out of contact with the world, not having a radio or anything, he has been unaware of the emergency situation in the world.

There is a 'dark side' project which means that the humans are literally living down in a big hole in the earth because of the metal men on the surface, (there might only be those 5 of so from the shopping centre, but apparantly that is enough for there to be no option but to hide underground). I apologise to him to have to tell him this bad news.

He and his girlfriend get in a space ship and his girlfriend is flying it. He is worried she will crash into space stations etc at first but she doesn't. Then they are in a cave of lava flying this space ship and they fly up to a waterfall of lava, but it is so hot the ship completely evaporates and they die instantly.

I later see Alex back in the woods with his girlfriend by his tent. Apparantly the scourge of the metal men has ended and the world is sunny again. He is unaware that he is dead and I don't want to spoil his happiness. I now can continue on to the glacier as originally planned.
