Re accurring

For some years now since i was 12 yrs old i have had this dream ive woken covered in sweat ..it starts were i am on a beach with friends some i can make out others i cant..
its only last nite i realised i have dreampt this before and while its still fresh in my head i'd like to try and put things together..it starts of sunny day and we are builing sand castles then i run towards the sea and as i get nearer the waves get calmer then out of the blue they get bigger and more angry like ..dont know if that makes sense i am running towards them the tide is out and starts to come in fast..so i start to run towards my friends ..i see them point behind me i look back and the waves are enormous ..they turn and start running as i do...some of them have not noticed panicking we are running for it..we manage to get to saftey on like a low cliffe i realise someone has been left behind so i went back for them..one of these people was my mum and a young child ....i tell my mum to run and just as i say that se points the oposit side to were the sea was and there are waves comming from front and behind us so we got the sea meating left to rite like we are on a small island ..i think to myself Oh my God the look on my mums face is sheer horror and the sea just stops i wake up...can anyone tell me what this means ...Troubled
