the sea

not much happened really but i was on a beach collecting pebbles and the tide started coming in pretty fastly. hundreds of people gathered off the beach adn when i turned to look back, the sea had just stopped moving, like it had been paused!!! people thought it was amazing but i had a terrible feeling that something bad was going to happen!
anyone have any idea what this may mean?

A sea means the government , collecting pebbels means earning some money from the governement.

The tide means receiving some money that will be paused.

Hi there. I don't know if this is a common dream archetype or anything like that, but I wouldn't be surprised. Time pausing, and maybe the sea/waves all pausing could be a common theme. I recall I dream where the action of the sea and waves actually sped up, though the waves/ripples etc weren't any bigger, it was just as though time was passing five or ten times as quickly.

It sounds like quite a powerful dream with a very ominous feeling. The fact that everyone else acts as though it's amazing and don't sense danger adds to the ominous feeling. Although this is a shot in the dark, maybe your brain recalled images of the Tsunami's where the water seems to go still or drag in for a long time before a great wave comes along; it might be inspired partly by that.
