Unhappy Vicious Cat

So i've had this dream a couple of times over the past few months and its horrid. It scares me (suppose its more of a nightmare).

I'm in the dream with, who i think is my dad and younger sister. There is also a very vicious cat there, who we all want to punish. So dad decides to put it in the freezer. BUT as soon as that happens, my sister and I are suddenly in there with it!!

The cat is trapped in a little compartment seperate from my sister and I, and we are laughing as its getting really really angry.

My happy, laughing emotion realye rapidly turns to fear as I realise the cats gone inscane and is going to break through into the freezer, with my sister and I. I pull my hoodie over my face in anticipation for the cat breaking through.

It enters the bottom part of the freezer, its eyes are wild and it dives straight for my sisters face, it starts viciously ripping into her face, claws, teeth (very violent and graphic). Once its mauled her it turns to me, just as it jumps for my face I wake up!

The cat is white, and has its tail etc. But its truely posessed, blind with rage I would say. This cat has been present before in dreams, normally attacking my arm, but never in a freezer, in a trapped environment.

It terrifies me, I wake up sitting bolt upright, hands over my face and sweating.

Please, what could this mean???

Hi,
Relax, these dreams are dreat to wake you up. Sometimes you get stomach ache, or you lie on your arms too long and you have to be woken from sleep.
The dream makes you move your arm and turns, or moves your body to wake you up make you more comfortable in bed. That is the reason you wake up sitting bolt upright, hands over your face and sweating.
Dreams do not have meaning. You dream about an angry cat because you're frightened of cats. Perhaps you had been scratched by one in the past?
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi - I am a veterinary nurse, so am definatly not scared of cats, they are actually one of my favourite animals. Hence why it seems all the more strange that one would be attacking me?!

Thanks for the info on getting more comfortable tho, I wake up often moving around, so I know now thats all that bit is. On the front that dreams have no meaning, I tend to disagree i'm afraid. I dream far to much for them to have no further meanings :0)

Thank you for your reply

This puts a different slant on your dream. You know how to handle cats, but you also know that they are unpredictable and subconsciously you're frightened of them. Your subconscious draws on your apprehension about cats. I'm sure you get the odd viscious one in your practice.
Cheers Wolfjk
