| Nightmares! Horrors in the night? Do you wake up screaming, or wish you hadn't fell asleep in the first place? Post it here, or if you are good at helping folks interpret these kind of dreams, then do so here. Maybe you will get a good night's sleep. ; |

My daughter is currently in the hospital and I am so worried she is terrified that she sees shadows at night, but I was near her in the ER with her dad she woke up out of her sleep and jumped in the corner and was trembling she said the shadows were there.
What could the shadows mean? |

Dreams are always about what is happening in the sleep. Your daughter is probably very upset, and if she is given some medicine, that might make her dreams more vivid and frightening. Dreams do not mean anything; they are usually dreamt to wake the sleeper, or respond to what is happening in the sleep. You should not worry about her dreams. She needs comforting. Cheers Wolfjk

your poor daughter! i can relate when i was in a hospital having some surgery done in mexico (plastic there is cheaper just make sure doc is board certified!).
when i was there in the after care hospital, i heard noises in my room, tv would go on and off, it was wild. i would call to front desk where they reassured me i would be ok but that yes the facility was haunted...many people have passed there. the same goes for other hospitals as well...including where your daughter is. now i was scared to death. but i must say,... if you can help her being alone by all means stay there with her, or have some family member stay with her. its hella scary and i cant imagine dealing with that, that young. when my aunt died i had to deal with it, but i was like 9 or so. thats another story! i would just tell her that what she is seeing are people that have passed but are there to visit and not harm her. i wouldnt suggest telling her what she is experiencing isnt real or is her imagination. that would make it worse. let her know god is with her and if she feels frightened or sees them again, tell her to say a prayer. let her know those shadows are visiting to see if she is ok and that they are happy to see her but mean no harm. dimlights~ |

Probably a nightmare. Just try telling her it will be okay. However shadows aren't always a good thing, still if she's on meds... I don't know how that affects dreams.

Well I say that shes scared of this place. That scary people with scary needles that hurt. Mainly she needs you telling her the shadows wont harm her and that the doctors are just here to help. And then listen to her explaination what the shadows represent to her.I know when I was afraid of the dark my parents gave me a special teddy bear that would beat up everything in the dark that would hurt me.And i could go to sleep without any worries. And just let her know that mom and dad are there for her.
