| Nightmares! Horrors in the night? Do you wake up screaming, or wish you hadn't fell asleep in the first place? Post it here, or if you are good at helping folks interpret these kind of dreams, then do so here. Maybe you will get a good night's sleep. ; |

My only nightmares would consist of maybe my kid missing at a park or bad news over the phone. I don't think I EVER dreamt with monsters...and I almost kinda WANT to.
This came up because several friends went to eat after a dance club & they ALL seem to have nightmares with zombies, demons, ghosts, etc. I felt left in the cold...and it dawned on me I NEVER dream with ANY kind of monster ever. Maybe I should mention I'm an avid horror fan & have even worked as a scare actor at Busch Garden's Halloween event. Could I just be desensitized or do I lack imagination to have REAL nightmares? For once I'd like to dream with SOME kind of monster. (unusual wish, I know). |

Thank your lucky stars that you don't have nightmares! Nightmares are dreamt when something happens in sleep that is dangerous to the sleeper. The nightmares are created by the subconscious to wake the sleeper. Quote:
It was the bad food eaten late that caused your friends to have nightmares! You would not want that ? Would you? Cheers Wolfjk

It's not as fun as you may think. I sometimes have nightmares with some really horrible creatures in them, and I can't really sleep for days. I think nightmares are worse when what you fear is placed in something animated and alive. I dunno, if you really want, maybe watch some horror movies right before you go to sleep?
