Creepy but not terrifying

This was a weird night for dreams... had this one where I was surrounded by people who were "infested" with bugs under their skin. It seemed like everyone was 'one of them'....and they were definitaley trying to GET ME. Now, I did have a partner who was working with me to stay safe and get the thing reversed. But we were also up against an incoming storm (hurricane) on a small island, like one of the florida keys? so the travel options were limited. The only way to del with it was to deal with the "infestation"... and I can't remember how they were vanquished - then the dream jumped to closer to home, in the Nevada desert. We were going over the hill and looking at historical old western towns, partly for history but also looking for a home... and the bugs came back...I could totally see people's faces with the crawling under the skin...and they were following us and trying to get close enough to "infect" us....again, no idea how it ended. I think the kids woke me up, so it all went "poof"

Now, the reality in my life is that I am quitting herb after a long time, and I am really in a great place to shift my old patterns to more healthy goals...and so the demons of the past are probably playing in my head...
I do not watch horror movies and don't 'do' creepy. I am surprised that this dream didn't have me awake and shaking...but I just watched it unfold, like I was IN it , but still observing it. I could feel the fear and the disgust, but it wasn't completely internalized to the gripping terror of a nightmare.

what would I look up for bugs/centipides/parasites???

A bug can represent diseases, things you cannot control or annoyances.
On the other hand, this could represent the pun of the word "bug" and you could feel like you are being bugged, literally eavesdropped upon by someone you are an acquaintance with. I think the fear of bugs shows you are very frightened of diseases, be they venereal or communicable. This fear of germs can too be associated with your fear of death or things in life you cannot control. Do you often wash you hands or have a fear of hospitals or anything involving medicine? You may also be feeling creeped out by an old crowd of people you used to know. I seriously doubt you will get sick at all...these are probably just subconscious fears expressing themselves in your sleep.

That's interesting...I have psoriasis, and am always worried people judge me as a leper! lol
And I am a mom, so I am a bit of a germaphobe I suppose... as for being "bugged" - I always think the govt is watching ... lol

but
This was like a "invasion fo the body snachers" thing..the "bug people" were acting posessed and had like a shadow in their eyes. I have seen these type of people before, and they usually symbolize a visit from the "dark side"

So perhaps because I am making healthier choices, the "bug people" were trying to get me - and make me follow their evil ways?

The psoriasis is definitely part of the dream, and you are feeling insecure about your skin problems. Try not to worry about being judged for your disease...we all have our little quirks. I don't think you should be ashamed or avoid human contact because of what you have. Only small, petty people would make fun of your skin condition.
