For the passed few months this really creepy girl keeps showing up in my dreams and turning them into nightmares. She appears differently every time but I can always tell its her because every time she shows up I instantly get a feeling of dread. She follows me throughout the entire dream and just when I think I lost her she shows up again in a different form. It used to happen only about once or twice a month and she would just stare at me and disappear but now it is happening more often and each time she tries to scare me more. I am usually a lucid dreamer so in these dreams I try to ignore her but then she gets angry and somehow starts to take control of the suroundings herself.

Now it starts to get really stange. I think im starting to feel and hear things while im awake too but she doesnt scare me as much when im awake.

Why should you fear a girl watch you? Are you afraid of people? When you start to hear things while you're awake, there is a problem! Have a talk to your doctor. You might suffer from some form of depressio.

As Wolf suggested...perhaps you should see a doctor if you are feeling or hearing things when you are awake...at least to rule out depression or stress related psychosis. If you do have a anxiety/depression related illness...you need to treat it now before it gets worse.

The girl in your dreams....could represent something from your past that you have supressed for a long time...and which is surfacing now because you can no longer deny it. I would imagine that whatever it is ...it scares you and is hard to face. This event...trauma...may control many aspects of your life...and it is why "she" controls the dreams. Whether your dream is due to a past emotional trauma or a mental health related illness...the way to recovery is teh same. Seek out a qualified individual that can assist you in recovering.

How old are you? Could hormones be playing a part? what about the place you live, have you moved recently? did the dreams start with any other related life event that you can connect?
I agree with trauma from past, but this could also be a "spirit" trying to get your attention.
If the idea that those we see in dreams are aspects of ourselves, are you dealing with your self in an angry way?

If you are used to lucid dreaming, I would take control of your fear and confront this person...perhaps then their demeanor would shift and a message/gift can come from it...

You guys could be right. I think it could be stress. I have been traveling alot this summer and that hasnt left time for much sleep.
