| Nightmares! Horrors in the night? Do you wake up screaming, or wish you hadn't fell asleep in the first place? Post it here, or if you are good at helping folks interpret these kind of dreams, then do so here. Maybe you will get a good night's sleep. ; |

I wanted to thank all of you for the insight provided. She is out of the psych ward and in the regular area of the hospital. She has come out of it. We found out that the person she views as the devil is the man she lives with. go figure, lol. She said that it was her boyfriend in the dream that turned into the devil in front of her. She is better now and will be moving down to where we are as soon as she is discharged so that we may be better able to monitor her medication and get her out of the stressful situations that landed her there in the first place. Bless you all!! I believe she felt like she was in hell. Her man was gambling away her money, talking to women on the internet, not working, and she was working back to back double shifts just to try to cover the bills. She never told anyone how bad it was because she did not want anyone to worry. Between the drugs, the dreams, and the stress..anyone would have a mental breakdown. Thank God for all the support that we have recieved, the differences of opinion, the insight, and for people willing to take time out of their lives to help their fellow man.

oops sorry I wrote this before I read the last post, I was just replying to the first post! SORRY!) glad to hear all is well with your friends world!
---I think that there are two things going on possibly I think that the person probably feels really guilty about something and has alot of fear revolving around this something, if she is religious then maybe shes afraid of going to hell? and then as to her going (i hate to put it this way) "off the deep end" turning the dream into a reality, from what I understand about people that have mental breakdowns like this is that they tend to lach onto fantasy to help them cope with reality, so if that dream was the most vivid and clear fantasy in her head, maybe she chose that one as an escape.... and perhaps the mental breakdown is related to the weight of the guilt or fear that inspired the dream in the first place? I hope your friend all the best.... I know a guy that thinks hes a glass of orange juice and that of ever lays down horizontaly all of his juice will spill out. (too much lsd Ill wager) so it could be worse. just love your friend--- Last edited by sslappythefrogg : 06-19-2008 at 05:53 PM. Reason: oops |
