I (18) need some help breaking down a dream and finding a way to stop having it. My girlfriend (18) of one year has two recuring dreams. In one, she is with her brother at a bar in Spain. (Her brother is stationed there and she plans on visiting in the summer for a week.) Her brother leaves her at the bar for a second and a man confronts her and groaps her. Her brother comes back and chases the man away. She loses her brother in the crowdd the man confronts her again and this time she cannot escape and he holds her down. She is never sexually raped, just held down. She has also had the dream with me in it instead of her brother.

In the second dream, she gets in a fight with me and breaks up, (we have never broken up nor had any major fights) and goes to a party and gets drunk. She goes upstairs with a guy, who she does not know in the dream, and he again holds her down and does not let her go. There is no sexual rape again, just being held down.

We are both going to collage in the fall, she is going to tampa and i am staying in N.J. We both love eachother very much and i have never hit her, nor do we have rough sex or PlayRape. She wakes up crying every night multiple times and is now afraid to go to sleep. Please help me.

Your girfriend would probably benefit from going to a sleep clinic. Something in her sleep is causing her dreams. It would be beneficial if someone watched her while she slept and and noted her sleeping positions, and her breathing.
My guess is that she stops breathing momentrily every so often when she sleeps on her back. The dreams could happen if she goes to sleep in an embrce with someone.
