I saw a demon. Help.

This is my recollection of the first encounter. I've seen it about 5 or 6 times since. The experiences are usually quite similar to this one.

I woke up in the middle of the night, and I swear it was the witching hour because I ended up at work by 4am that day. I was sleeping on the couch in the living room and it was pitch black in there. Only the subtle light of the moon penetrated the closed vertical blinds that hung from above my sliding glass door; there were no lights outside. I got the feeling like I was being watched.

This feeling directed my attention to my right, and slightly behind me. I laid there staring at the black ceiling when I noticed out of the corner of my eye a hooded figure sitting in the armchair next to me. I turned my head slightly to see if there was anyone there, but once both my eyes were fixed on its position, it disappeared. This figure was blacker than the complete blackness of my apartment like a shadow among shadows. Yet, it was not confined to a wall - it occupied space.

I turned my head back and looked at the ceiling again, and once the space that it occupied became invisible to my second (left) eye, it appeared once again. I laid there completely still. I couldn't breathe, couldn't move. The sheer terror was overwealming. Although my eyes were aimed straight forward at the ceiling, I was staring at this figure with my peripheral vision. It appeared as though this was the only way that I could see it. Once my eyes got adjusted i noticed on the figure two incredibly faint red dots right where a pair of eyes would be. Immediately, I began to slowly turn my head towards it again, and once again, it disappeared once my second eye could see it. I stared with both eyes for about ten or fifteen seconds. Nothing. I turned my head back again looking at the ceiling and there it was again.

It was staring right at me. My eyes opened wide and again, involuntarily held my breath. I was completely paralyzed. I couldn't even blink. Then, I noticed it begin to move very slowly... Towards me. And as it got closer, its eyes got brighter, and I started to feel cold. I wanted to scream so badly but I couldn't. I was bound, and my eyes were the only part of my body that I could control, and I was too scared to close them. It moved closer, I got colder, and its red eyes got brighter, and once it was about six inches from my face, it suddently leapt into my chest like a vortex of water or a tornado causing me to gasp for air. Where normally a gasp for air takes less than a second, for some reason my lungs would not expand quickly. My throat was locked and since the air couldn't pass through quickly enough, it sounded like a choke. It felt as if I were being strangled.

Then I woke up. ...again?

I was still on the couch, but I was covered in sweat and breathing heavily. The living room was still black as ever. I looked to see if the figure was still there sitting in the chair, and just as soon as I saw it, it began to disappear into the blackness.

Then, nothing. I laid there for 15 minutes waiting to fall asleep again - or maybe wake up again, but I couldn't. So I stood, walked to the switch and turned on the light. Everything was normal, but I didn't want to be there. I ended up going to work early that morning.

Although it looked the part, I'm pretty sure the figure I saw wasn't Death, because, quite frankly, I'm still here. So i'm left with 3 possibilities: It's probably Baal, but it could also be Mastiphal, or Tenebrion. As far as I know, all three of these demons are shrouded in darkness and can encounter the living. Apparently, many have seen this figure before, including a friend of mine. Neither of us really know what to make of it. If anyone has any info, it would be appreciated.

Perhaps its only your subconscience manifesting guilt. I myself am an athiest but i do oddly enough beleive in demons, and ghosts. Maybe the fact that it always stayed slightly out of site, shows its somthing below the serface. Maybe somthing you dont even realise you feel guilty about.


Either way im sympathize and i hope things work out for you

If dreamt was fighting the devil and defeated satan means he is an honest person.
If dreamt devil defeated him means he likes evil and corrupt.
If dreamt devil spoke to him means he will choose evil and will stop praying and obeying God.
If dreamt devil advised him and he was agreed means a money loss and illness.
If dreamt devil took his hand and took him somewhere means he will do a big sin.
If when going he was remembering God means he will stop that sin by advice an honest person.
If dreamt chained the devil means believers will receive a happiness.
If dreamt devil was poor means honest people will receive power.
If was obeying devil means will have temptations.
If devil grant him something good means will have some immoral money.

Geez, thats pretty scary i had a thing too i dont know what or who it was

I woked up in the middle of the night it was very dark i waked up from a nightmare, i waked up and i saw somthing human shaped very vey dark in the corner of my eye, i tought it was som kind of illusion but it aproached me and then i looked at it and i coud look right at it aproaching me without that it woud disapear i still tought it was an illusion cos i tought it was of the nightmare i had that i was still frightned but i wasnt i was very relaxed it kept coming closer very slow it whispered somthing while it camed closer but i dont know what, it was very weak, i stared at it for 5-7 secs while it was aproaching me, then i realized it coudnt be an illusion i freaked and turned the other way and pulled my sheets over me, i then looked again and it was gone. It seemed to be an male 1.90m tall pretty big shoulders.

I saw him before but then it wasnt pitch dark in my room there was a little light and he was standing at my door just watching me it seemed that also scared me and i just looked away and covered my ears and closed my eyes

...I don't see any connection to guilt. How can you be atheist, yet belive in demons and ghosts? that's just silly. You're probably a deist or agnostic and don't even know it.

It could of been incubus and Succubus .The demons were generally believed to appear most frequently during sleep or in nightmares. Sometimes during these strange sensations, people have experienced a visitor or visitors which are usually described as a malevolent presence; while being overcome with sleep paralysis, whereby the person is left unable to move and frightened. Many
times people will also feel a pressure or weight on their chest or back, with a sensation of not being able to breathe and impending doom.

I moved into my bfs a few months back... one night when his parents where away on holiday. I awoke with this panic & urgency. I din't open my eyes at first, but I knew I was awake, and had this strong feeling of being watched.
I opened my eyes to see this 'creature' the room was so dark but I could see this thing, it had this physic of a man, muscular but extremely tall. High cheer bones and skin that appeared like ashen grey I think. It han one leg up on the side table and its right elbow resting on the knee that was up on the table. I was sleeping against the wall... and the thing was looking at my bf with a look of sheer disgust. It saw me and reach out for me, like it was going to take me or hurt me. I don't remember what happened properly it was all so fast- But I know I threw my palm towards it at the same time as hitting my bf with my other arm to wake him up. In a second the thing just disappeared to this black dust and was gone. I know my bf saw him, he refused to sleep all night and just hugged me and said he would watch me, even though I never even spoke of what I had seen. He is still like that sometimes when I sleep, I know that he wakes throughout the night to check on me now. But he never likes to speak of it. I dont know what this was, or why it happened. Can anyone please help?

That sounds terrifying. I have no idea what that being in your bedroom could be, but I would highly suggest purchasing some sage smudging sticks, to cleanse your entire bedroom. In doing so, it would detract any evil spirits or beings from disturbing you and those who live with you.

Hello Devil Dave...

There are several possibilities (that I know of) of what you may have experienced. All people experience what is called sleep paralysis while they sleep. This is the unique way the body shuts down so a dreamer does not get hurt while dreaming or acting out motions in dreams. If a person is not getting enough sleep or is a person has interruptions in his/her sleep due to anxiety, sleep disorders, etc....he/she can be slightly conscious while still dreaming. Usually this experience is very frightening to many people ...and they often drag negative depictions into this experience because it is so scary.

Another option is that you are dreaming symbolically of something...as becoming broken mentioned. Demons and shadow figures often refer to issues that have yet to surface or that are not yet fully apparent to the person. Oftentimes the mind depicts people who have injured us as demonic in dreams.

Yet another option (not believed by many) is that it actually was a spirit/entity/demon. You mentioned several demonic names that you thought this figure could have been. Without mentioning the book (as to not negatively influence any curious readers on the post)...I imagine you may be dabbling in forms of necromancy. If so,...I suggest you retreat from your interest in this. Nothing good has ever come out of conjuring such entities....and regardless if you believe you can handle it or not....it is a very unsafe and unpredictable practice.

My suggestion is that if you are dabbling in the occult...to really cease from doing so. If you are not...make sure you are getting the appropriate amount of sleep each night so that you do not have as many conscious sleep/wake experiences. If you have had a horrible experience in your past...at the hands of another person....please address these issues with a professional....because you do not need to live with such shadowy remnants of these experiences. A lot of strange things have happened there. I just feel it.
Also I can't stop talking in my sleep there- but I want to stop I even clap my hand over my mouth but I still talk... its like someone is making me- I know as I have even woken up doing this... and only a few seconds after I have awoken does it stop!

This ever happen to you?

Sorry to ask something else- just you seem to know what to do lol....

Do you have any knowledge on what a shooting star is? or a bridge? If a person is either or both?
