Hi everyone!
I've always been very interested in dream analysis and psychology (and it's my minor actually), and I always have the strangest dreams. This one, that I had a few nights ago, is bothering me quite a lot, so I found this website and thought I'd ask for some input! My dream: Practically everyone I know was being chased down by vampires... and we were all outside of this barn-type area at night... and one was specifically after me... and it was a male vampire and looked like a guy, but his voice was really feminine for some reason. And I was in a car with my best friend/college roomate Kiara (and all of my other best friends had already been captured, and I was freaking out). And the aforementioned vampire was outside my window. And I was rolling the window up really quickly, and I got it up JUST before he got to the car. I locked all of the doors, and we just sat there staring in horror. And mind you, I was BAWLING the entire time in the dream. I was so terrified (and was terrified when I woke up), but then something happened... I can't remember what it was... but all of the car doors were suddenly unlocked, and my window was half-down. I heard a scream and turned to see that Kiara got taken away from me by another vampire, and then I went to roll the window up again, but the vampire (who had been after me specifically) put his hand in the way and pushed it back down. And I was crying, "Please, let me roll it up." And he just half-smiled and said no really quietly. And then I was bawling and asked, "Will you please not hurt me? Please don't hurt me." And he just shook his head and jerked open my door and jumped into the car. Then, I tried to crawl out through the other door, but he pulled me into the back seat and was like... on top of me. And while I was still sobbing, I began to kick and scream - and then he started to say "shhh" and play with my hair, wipe away my tears, caress my cheek - all attempts to calm me down. And when I finally got a little quieter, I asked, "Will it hurt?" (asking about him biting my neck), and he goes, "A little, I can't lie to you." And even though I didn't really know this vampire, I felt like I did... He seemed so familiar to me. But then at that moment, some random girl on her cellphone knocked on the door and asked if she could sit in the front seat to talk on her phone because it was loud outside... and the vampire let her... and as she was sitting in the front and talking freakishly fast and loud, the vampire started to kiss me? Which was weird because I thought he was going to bite me and then just leave me there. And at one point, he said something else and "I love you", and it was just SO weird. And then all of a sudden we were on the floor in a room I didn't recognize, and we were still kissing... but the girl was still there on her cell phone. And I asked the vampire if he could ask her to leave. And he just looked at me for a moment, then turned around and said very loudly, "Hey, you aren't wanted here." And then she was all offended and left. And then I woke up. It was SO strange, lol. If anyone has any ideas as to what this could be, I'd be most appreciative!! Have a good day |

I have vampire dreams all the time, and this one is kinda similar to the ones Ive had. Generally I have vampire dreams when I'm upset because somebody is mad at me, and I feel like they're going to do something to hurt me. Maybe you know that sonmebody you love is upset with you and you are afraid of what they could do to hurt you, even though they won't. As far as the vampires taking your friend, maybe your afraid that you could lose your friend. Good luck, hope this helped

Vampires are mythological or folkloric revenants who subsist by feeding on the blood of the living. In folkloric tales, the undead vampires often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighbourhoods they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today's gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early Nineteenth Century. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in most cultures, the term vampire was not popularised until the early 18th century, after an influx of vampire superstition into Western Europe from areas where vampire legends were frequent, such as the Balkans and Eastern Europe,[1] although local variants were also known by different names, such as vrykolakas in Greece and strigoi in Romania. This increased level of vampire superstition in Europe led to what can only be called mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses actually being staked and people being accused of vampirism.
In modern times, however, the vampire is generally held to be a fictitious entity, although belief in similar vampiric creatures such as the chupacabra still persists in some cultures. Early folkloric belief in vampires has been ascribed to the ignorance of the body's process of decomposition after death and how people in pre-industrial societies tried to rationalise this, creating the figure of the vampire to explain the mysteries of death. Porphyria was also linked with legends of vampirism in 1985 and received much media exposure, but has since been largely discredited. The charismatic and sophisticated vampire of modern fiction was born in 1819 with the publication of The Vampyre by John Polidori; the story was highly successful and arguably the most influential vampire work of the early 19th century.[2] However, it is Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula which is remembered as the quintessential vampire novel and provided the basis of the modern vampire legend. The success of this book spawned a distinctive vampire genre, still popular in the 21st century, with books, films, and television shows. The vampire has since become a dominant figure in the horror genre.

To see a vampire in your dream, symbolizes seduction and sensuality, as well as fear and death. The vampire represents contrasting images of civilized nobility and aggression/ferocity. It may depict someone in your waking life whose charm may ultimately prove harmful. Deep down inside you know that this person is bad for you, yet you are still drawn to it. Vampires also sometimes relate to decisions about sex and losing your virginity. Alternatively, to see a vampire suggests that you are feeling physically or emotionally drained. The vampire may also be symbolic for someone who is addicted to drugs or someone in an obsessive relationship.
To see a barn in your dream, signifies feelings kept in your unconscious. There is a possibility that you may be holding back your instinctual action or natural urges. To have a dream that takes place at night, represents some major setbacks and obstacles in achieving your goals. There are some issues in your life that you are facing that are not too clear. Whether you are driving the car or a passenger, is indicative of of your active role or passive role in your life. If you are in the backseat of the car, then it indicates that you are putting yourself down and are allowing others to take over. This may be a result of low self-esteem or low self-confidence. Overall, this dream symbol is an indication of your dependence and degree of control you have on your life. To see a parked car in your dream, suggests that you need to turn your efforts and energies elsewhere. You may be needlessly spending your energy in a fruitless endeavor. It is indicative of some fear and low self-worth. To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and a way to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In our daily lives, we tend to ignore, deny, or repress our feelings. But in our dream state, our defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of such emotions. To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear. To see or use a cell phone in your dream, indicates that you are being receptive to new information. It also represents your mobility. To dream of a kiss, denotes love, affection, tranquility, harmony, and contentment. To see others kissing in your dream, suggests that you are too involved in their personal lives and relationship. You need to give them some space. If the dream ends just about you are about to kiss someone, indicates that you are unsure of how he or she really feels about you. You are looking for some sort of relationship with this person but you are not sure about how to go about achieving it.
