Default Nightmares with adrenaline rush!

Ive been having there two reoccurring nightmares recently and within a few seconds of waking have a adrenaline rush.

i will talk more about these dreams tomorrow but then are dreams where i am either 1/2 awake or am woken by some sounds i then find out my place/building is on fire, within this time i wake up, still believing the dream, which is where the adrenaline rush part comes in, as it crosses over very well.

the other is i am 1/2 awake in bed again, and can hear some noise, next thing someone runs into my room, and stabs me several times as i sit there frozen.

After the adrenaline rush, it is then hard to get back to sleep.

Hi,
When you dream that your house is on fire or someone stabbs you, there must be a serious reason for the dream. What do you eat before going to slep? what do you drink before going to sleep? However the adrenalin rush can happen when you start a challenging job or a relationship breaking down.
Adrenalin rush can cause heartburn or indigestion which your subconscious might interpret in a dream as a fire! Breake-up of arelationship can cause psychological pain or heartache which your subconscious could associate with stabbing pains.
Only you know the reasons!
Cheers Wolfjk

the more i think about the fire dream, the more i wonder if it should be placed as a nightmare. as most the feer, ect. comes a few seconds after i wake.

often in my sleep, things like phone rings, alarms, people talking all become part of my dream.

I think most of it comes from that, i wake up (due to the nightmare) and starting thinging, was that part of the dream, or did/is that really happen/ing. and at that point i think my body kicks in to start getting ready to get the hell out of there.

often with the fire nightmare, i have found myself checking the place out, to ensure i was actually dreaming, and it wasn't something in real life affecting my dream.

I think another part comes from that fact that I live alone, and its easer for one person to miss something, or sleep through something.

Ive even had dreams in the past that have told me not to wake up until i did so and so in my dream, that day i got up over an hour late, when i finally managed to get out of the cycle.

other times when i was younger and living at home, i have done soething like the above, only with the smoke alarm.

so i think part of this comes from the fear of sleeping through/not hearing a fire alarm, then getting trapped on the second floor of my apartment.

Hi,
Everything you written here is quite normal in dreams. Dreams control your sleep time and look after you while you sleep. However your worries and anxieties impact on your dreams. Perhaps living alone is hard to get used to.
Dreams sometimes wake you and other times keep you asleep, especially if you're very tired.
In the early part of sleep it is common to hear bangs, knocks, someone call your name orshouts. When you are very tired, it is not unusual to incorporate your allarm clock going off, into a dream and have an extra hours sleep. It happend to me many times.
Sometimes dreams can feel real and you might feel the dream happened. It is nothing to worry about!
Cheers Wolfjk
