My partner and I both had nightmares at the same time tonight

I was in a huge house with a LOT of doors and windows, and I was struggling to lock them all. I was trying to protect someone (did not recognize the person) who was also in the house with me. Every time I managed to think I had the place locked up, there ended up being another window, door, crawl space, or something of that nature that would need to be attended to in order to be sure that the house was secured. The person I was trying to protect was in a state of panic and was paralyzed with fear, creating fear in myself but I was still able to act, despite failure to succeed in locking everything. Eventually the area of the house that I set out to secure became smaller and smaller because I could not keep the whole place locked up. It was impossible for some reason. Eventually, over the course of trying and trying to keep the place locked up, we became confined to one room and a hallway, and that was it. The rest of the huge house was no longer under my control. This created more and more fear in myself and especially the one I was trying to protect. From what, I still have no idea.

The dream/nightmare had background music. A song I haven't heard in over 10 years, "With a Little Luck" by Paul McCartney & Wings. *confused about that, too*. The TV or radio was not on when I woke up.

My partner woke up around the same time I did, and said he had a nightmare about zombies and people trying to get him.

I woke up in a daze and tested reality several times, hallucinating shadow figures at my bedroom door the first several times, then was finally able to wake up fully, in a panic. This was 1 hour and 45 minutes ago EST.

Please help me interpret this, if it even has an interpretation. It was extremely intense.
