Has anybody had a problem with night terrors? I've always been active during dream states, talking, walking, etc. in my sleep. About five years ago, I started having night terrors, where I have called 911 in my sleep, screamed bloody murder at the top of my lungs, freaked out and ran out of the house, etc. It's always provoked by hearing a noise, or if I go to bed and somehow feel unsafe. I saw a specialist for it and it stopped, but I've always wondered what may have caused it, etc.

When I was ten I used to sleep walk and try to get out of the house. My dad would always find me trying to open the screen door and get out. Who knows where I would have gone. I belevie that it was caused by extreme stress that I was having at that time. I am not sure what made me finally stop doing it.
