Death Note recurring nightmare

I've had this awful recurring dream for over 3 weeks, and just can't figure out what it means.
It's in this really wierd place, it looks familiar, but I can't tell. Me and a bunch of my friends are just messing around. For some reason Florida from Good Times is there, and so is Light and several other characters from Death Note (a sort of morbid mystery anime for those who don't know). It seems normal and kind of funny for a little while, with Josh and Kenny (2 of my friends) tripping people and Florida going on and on to me and Light about random junk. But all of the sudden Light jumps up and shoots a random person in the head with a pistol. The man immediately falls to the ground, dead. We just think nothing of it, but Light, (a man who has killed hundreds, many of which were innocent, people) bursts into tears and pulls his hair and screams. We just kind of ignore him though, and he eventually just sort of fades out. James (a friend, who is very anti-violence, which makes the next part strange) picks up the shotgun he's had with him the whole time for some reason, and says "Come on you guys, this is boring. Let's play a game." He shoots at a spot on the wall, and hits it dead-on. "How about that, yall? Anybody think they can beat me?" Andy (my best friend) jumps in front of him and says "I'd bet you couldn't hit a moving target!" and runs around. James fires a few random shots, not hitting anything or anyone. "Come on Jay, you couldn't hit me if you wanted to!" Andy yells. By now, we've all stopped to watch. "Now James, what are you doing with that gun?" Florida says. James ignores her, and shoots at a cardboard box next to Andy's feet. "Woah, that was close," Andy says. "Run Andy!" James laughs, and shoots again. But this time, he got him. Andy grabs the wound on his gut and just stands there for a second. You can see both his and James eyes even though they're several feet away, and the look just says 'Oh my god'. Andy falls to the ground, and there's a ton of blood all over the place. He just screams and cringes, and never really dies.

Any theories on this are much appreciated. I can't think of anything to save my life.

Umm.... okay yea I know death note but umm... I'm thinking you've really liked/like it, and since you've (either read/watched) it your mind digested it. Usually to cope with things in our life our subconcious puts up these stupid metaphors for us to figure out, so lets see A gun... a gun symbolizes aggression, anger, and potential danger. You may be dealing with issues of passiveness/aggressiveness and authority/dependence. Alternatively, a gun can represent the penis and male sexual drive. Thus the gun may mean power and impotence.To dream that you are loading a gun, forewarns that you should be careful in not letting your temper get out of control. To dream that you shoot someone with a gun, denotes your aggressive feelings and hidden anger toward that particular person. To dream that someone is shooting you with a gun, suggests that you are experiencing some confrontation in your waking life. You may feel victimized in some situation.
To dream that your best friend is dying, suggests that some aspect or quality that your best friend possess is dying within your own self.

I suggest you stop watching violent things, or if that can not be done just sorta think about yourself and others around you when you wake up from the dream. GOod luck.
