Default Satanic Dreams for a Month

I haven't been able to sleep for about a month.

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a religious person, but my dreams actually drove me to church this afternoon to bless myself.

I have been having these horrific satanic dreams and I researched it and came up with both spiritual and intellectual answers - I'm inclined to believe the latter since I had a strange encounter with an Evangelical man not too long ago and have been doing some heavy biblical and non-canonized reading as research for one of my stories (I'm a writer).

In any case, the latest dream (without further ado) went like this:

I am at a backyard barbecue. I recently left a job, but people attending this barbecue were some old coworkers. I don't know why - leftover residue in my mind, I suppose.

It is a summery day, but somehow I lose my pants (?) and I now recognize the back of the house as being that of an aunt's home in the Virginia suburbs which she left about a decade ago, although elements are missing. One thing I remember vividly is the air cooling unit outside next to the three wooden steps that reached into the kitchen.

My late grandfather is suddenly there, looking much sharper, healthier, and younger than in the last days of his life. He died 8 years ago, and I know he died, but I am happy to see him.

I ask him, "What are you doing here?" gleefully, and he holds up a pair of jeans and like magic, it is no longer an issue.

"Come inside, let's catch up," he says and he takes me by the left hand and starts to lead me inside on the stairs. Something, though, tells me that he wasn't really my grandfather come back to visit.

"You're not my grandfather," I announce suddenly, with such certainty that the man holding my hand suddenly transforms. His hand that held my left hand is now ghost white covered in both wet and matted blood (and I can still feel the clamminess even as I write this.) His face fattens considerably and is a white-reddish-sickly-pink and his snout grows into that hideous face. Large, thick, spiraling horns appear out of his head and I am terrified as I realize that this is the devil come to trick me.

Someone was following me (i'm not sure who) and I turn to them and say, "Go on, leave" because I was afraid to run away from the devil or else he might kill me, and I wasn't going to let anyone follow me in.

He brings me inside the house and it is no longer my aunt's house or any house I've ever seen, for that matter. He leads me through the kitchen into a hallway where a group of decadent looking people are hanging all about, many of them appearing very charming and very sure - but something about them tells me empathetically that they are "no good."

The devil transforms into a more pleasing appearance, and a very pushy girl is holding a miniature sheep about the size of my palm and tells me to put it to my ear and to hold a metal prong in my left hand so they can measure something. I'm not sure what it is, but there is a computer/analyzer machine behind a glass case not unlike what one would find in an entertainment unit in any home across America. She wants to know whose "side" I'm on.

I hold the sheep to my ear and a man with blondish hair and glasses, wearing a yellow/bluish business shirt and khaki pants, very sure of himself, stands behind me with his arms crossed.

I hear swear words in my ear, but it is drowned out by pleasant music.

The pushy girl demands to know what I'm hearing and I say, "I hear swear words but I can't make anything out. It's all music." (I don't recall the tune, but it was very lo-fi.)

The machine starts to spur and needles are going off charts and a digital red display reads: "0.47" (friends had joked that it signified my blood alcohol content while having this dream)

The pushy girl looks to the man behind me, confused.

"This can't be right. She says she doesn't hear it," the girl says, and I lied a little bit. I heard some swear words hear and there, but I couldn't make out any sort of message.

The guy grabs the prong from my hand and says, "Let me see that" and suddenly the machine flashes "4.43" or something like that, but he leads me over into the adjacent room, where a very skinny, pale, fire-haired girl is sitting, staring blankly at me.

The guy then goes to find Satan and I knew they were going to kill me.

Then I woke up. This is only one of the dreams that are vivid and seem almost nonsensical.

I'm looking forward to any feedback.

Default What! nonsence?

Hi,
There is always a reason for a dream. Some dreams seem to be strange and nonsense but every part of a dream does a certain job. The fact that you deem part of a dream nonsense is actually what the dream wants you to do! By deciding that this or part of a dream is "nonsense" the dream is engaging your conscious brain! Raising your level of consciousness.
In general your dream indicates that you are in the middle of some emotional turmoil. You regret some decisions you made recently and agonising about what to do next.
Cheers Wolfjk

To see your grandparents in your dream, symbolizes love, security, wisdom and protection.

To see or wear pants in your dream, suggests that you are questioning your role in some situation. Consider the material and color of the pants for additional interpretation.

To dream of a barbecue, refers to a minor problem that is affecting your social life

To see the devil in your dream, signifies negative aspects of yourself. It may also indicate feelings of guilt that you have been harboring. It is time to release these feelings. Alternatively, the devil may represent intelligence, cunningness, deception, and cleverness.

To dream that the devil talks to you, signifies that you will find some temptations hard to resist even though you know it is not in your best interest.

To see sheep in your dream, indicates that you lack initiative to venture out on your own. You feel uncreative and just conforming or going along with the flow.

To hear harmonious and soothing music in your dream, is a good omen of prosperity, pleasure and the expression of your emotions in a positive way. Music serves to heal the soul.

To hear discordant music in your dream, signifies unhappiness and troubles in the home.

To see a house in your dream, represents your own soul and self. Specific rooms in the house indicate a specific aspect of your psyche. In general, the attic represents your intellect, the basement represents the unconscious, etc. If the house is empty, then it indicates feelings of insecurity. If the house is shifting, then it suggests that you are going through some personal changes and changing your belief system.

To see people you know in your dream, signifies qualities and feelings of those people that you desire for yourself.

To see people you don't know in your dream, denotes hidden aspects of yourself that you need to confront.

To see people from your past in your dream, refers to your shadow and other unacknowledged aspects of yourself. It can represent a waking situation that is bringing out similar feelings as your past relationships.

i dont know if you have had similar results but do with these what you will to try and analyze what is going on. hope these help

Default Something isn't quite right, appearances decieving

A job loss reprsents something comming to an end, perhaps a relationship is comming to an end in your life and you are saying your goodbyes, ending long term ties on good terms and this is what the cookout suggests. Next you loose your pants...loosing your pants reprsents that you feel unprepared for whatever comes next. The appearance of a deceased relative is a warning in dreams. You've already come to terms with your grandfather's death so why would be dreaming of him? You tell the grandfather he can't be real, he can't really be there. Could it be that he is appearing in your dream because you may have a connection in the past that you thought you let go but keeps comming up again in your dreams? Another possibilty is that the grandfather turned demon could be your own anger or negativity surfacing in the dreams because you have a hard time facing it in life. Another possibility, is that it is really a spirit harrassing you. Now the music drowing out abusive language to me though suggests that you are trying to ignore your own negativity but you are not sure where it comes from or what it means.

i think that rocket squirrels interpretation is much like what i was thinking.

something is wrong, and spiritually you are fighting. i think the dream was a dream of spiritual warfare.

you say you aren't religious but went to church. i have to say, that if you aren't religious then going to church really isn't going to help you (unless you aren't as not religious as you are saying you are) because you still don't believe in the religion of the church you went to.

because the dream had such a profound effect on you spiritually, you shouldn't ignore it.

from a personal standpoint, WHENEVER i had a dream about demons or the devil, it is a spiritual attack on me that i am warding off, literally (as in real demons are around me). in my dreams i always win the war and then i make the devil (defeated) bow down to the Lord and say, "thank You Jesus." sometimes i have the dreams just before a lifechanging situation occurs, or an extremely important decision that will quite possibly change the direction of my life occurs. oftentimes, this is when demons attack us the most, when they are aware that we are happening upon very crucial times and may be weak, confused, and needy.

i also have to note that demons in my dream ALWAYS appear initially as very innocent beings. one demon was an old grammar school friend, another one was a little girl, and yet another one started out as a butterfly gently flying into my house.

perhaps i am wrong, but with the strong spiritual connotations in this dream...you are being hounded by demons spiritually.
