It's always the same. I'm standing on a street. The same street that leads to my house. It's light outside, but I know it's night time. All over there street is broken shards of glass, and all around me are rain drops, frozen in their place. I'm walking, pushing a baby carriage, But I can't see the baby inside. I know I'm not wearing any shoes, and that my feet should be getting cut up by the glass, but I am unharmed. I walk into my house, but it is not mine, it's the house of my cousins when I was little. I don't have the baby carriage anymore, but I can hear a child crying. I run up the stairs, at first in my dreams I would step on the third step and it would disappear and I would fall, but now in my dreams I always jump over it and keep running. I reach the top, but I can't tell where the babies cry is coming from I run into the bedroom, it's decorated as a nursery, but there is no baby, I run into the bathroom, and there is a little boy, he's drowning in the bathtub, I try and grab him, but I can't see him clearly, I can't find him, finally I grab a hold of him, but when I pull him out, he is dead. I go to hold him, but he is gone, and I'm no longer in the bathroom, I'm sitting in the living room on my knees, I know I need to go back upstairs, I know that it's really important, but my friend Elli keeps telling me I need to come with her. I leave without going upstairs, and I get into the car, I'm driving down the street, but I'm can't drive, I'm running red lights and speeding. I come up to a really dark street, my husband is in the passengers seat instead of my friend. There are two others in the back, but I can't see them. The street gets darker the more I drive down it, I get so terrified that I stop the car, I don't want to drive anymore, I hear a loud screeching and I get hit from behind, I start screaming, I wake up screaming. Please someone help me with this dream I have it every night to every other night, I don't have any children, so I don't know why there is a baby. Please someone help.

...I'm standing on a street. The same street that leads to my house. It's light outside, but I know it's night time.... Seeing that it is light out but you know it is night time represents something hidden in your subconsious comming to the light.... All over there street is broken shards of glass, and all around me are rain drops, frozen in their place. Broken glass, rain drops frozen in place probably represents that you have experienced an emotionally shattering event in the past, and you never fully gone through the full run of the emotions to release the grief or sorrow, you are emotionally frozen; unable to feel the reality of the pain. This would explain why you didn't cut your feet on the glass and why the rain drops were frozen in place. There is a grieving process that is left incomplete. I'm walking, pushing a baby carriage, But I can't see the baby inside. The baby is your inner child. The baby boy that was drowned represents that in your past, probably in childhood, you experienced something painful but can't get it to the surface just like you couldn't bring the baby up from under the water, you can't bring the memory or emotions trapped in your subconsious to the surface. You knew you have to face it but instead you run away. The men with you in the backseat may represent something the past that remains with you always you refuse to confront. Being rear ended by another vehicle is another way of your subconsious trying to get your attention to face this matter.' This is just my idea of the what the dream could mean.

Again...let me just say that I am new to this forum. I am not an expert in dream interpretation but others have told me I have interpreted their dreams well.
I agree with everything that Squirrel said. It is how I interpreted a lot of your dream as well. May I also add that this event...or situation from your past has also caused you to not only to become frozen but to also attempt to compensate for your loss. You are afraid that this event has caused relationship problems with your husband and you don't want to place any more burdens on him. I however did not interpret the car hitting you from behind as you having to confront the problem (although running red lights and speeding indicates that you must) but rather that you feel that this event is always going to find you out somehow. Don't run anymore. Grieve your loss (whatever that may be). You may not be able to retreive that which you lost, but you can still comfort the hurting child within. You have the support of friends and your husband (who is in the car with you). The very fact that you no longer fall on the third step shows that you want to progress and have the ability to do so. You don't have to drive anymore on your own. Allow the help of others. |

Hi,
I think you have a problem! You are thinking about starting a family, however you circumstances are not right at the moment. You are also thinking that perhaps your present occupation is not the right one for you. It is your life! You make some choices, sometimes they are right, other times you regret opting for it. If you can't change your present occupation, try to make the best of it. Cheers Wolfjk

small boys in dreams always mean trouble. The fact that you were trying to save him means your trying to solve the problem. As for the crying child this is something very personal that only you will be able to figure out, may be some issue with having children? Going up stairs is something good, but if their difficult to get up, it means your having difficulty doing the right thing.
