This is a very common sleep condition. It is called sleepparalysis. If you search ths forum for "sleepparalysis" you will find many posts about the subject. The dream is frightening you awake with the idea that you can't move. The reason for the dream is probably because you try to go to sleep lying on your back. Find a comfortable sleeping position and you will not have this dream. Cheers Wolfjk

Hi to all. I know exactly what is going on. I have had the same thing happen to me billions of times. The thing that is happening to you is evil. Bad ****. Very Very bad ****. Let me ask you 1 simple question when this "thing" happens are you resting on your back? Because If you are That is what's doing it. Its called the 3 devils that watch you in your sleep. Its some scary **** I know. How I know this is because I thought i was crazy in the head and just thought it was just in my head. I got so ****ed up from it I called my mother up on the phone and this is what she said. "Son your not going crazy, Its the 3 demons that watch you in your sleep and go in your body take your soul and replace it with theirs so they feel the life." That's why when you feel like your in your room or where ever you are sleeping your soul is their but not in your body. That's why you cant move!

I'm new to these forums and have read some of these sleep paralysis problems and found some interesting answers from posters.
that the problem is breathing and that your mind is trying to wake you upurgently to get you to breath, but rest of your body is still asleep had it once and found I couln't move my body I simply tried moving as hard as I can and you move any little bit that you can eventualy could move one of my toes and I kept at it till I could move my foot then my leg and eventualy regained control after a while also suffered from a cold and have Sinus problems so I remember waking up paralysed and after reading these forums I remember it felt hard to breath so just struggled to get awake and then got nose clear and air passages clear before I continued to sleep to not get same problem also similiar thing happened to people sleeping on couches could happen from head resting in akward position ei raised up on arm rest and people describing bieng paralysed and seeing scary figures in thier peripheral vision and someone explained it is merely your mind realising it is not exchaning air effeciently and needs to "Scare" you to wake you up so you can breath properly as Wolf said lookthese up seems to be common problem |

I get this problem pretty regular myself. Sad to say, but it can happen in just about any imaginable sleeping position.

i also get this feeling very often, usually there is a shadowy/dark figure standing somewhere in the room. but i'm also not able to speak or scream or anything..
when this happens to me, i look at the clock. altho i cannot move my head, i can blink and look around- so i look at the clock, and then back at the shadow or the figure whichever it may be.. i talk to it, and ask what it wants, and ask for it to let me be.. most of the time when i cannot move, i feel like im being squeezed, falling, spinning, and i hear loud wind like a train rushing past my face.. the longest this has lasted for me was 16 minutes, and i was always in bed with someone who didnt wake up until after the figure was gone and i was able to say ANYTHING and move. sometimes, i just realize whats going on, and close my eyes. i've never had a problem breathing, or have asthma or anything- and it doesnt matter what position i am in.. and i've never found a connection to food or events during the day before it happens. it just happens :] if u find out how to make it stop, pls PM me |

Apart from sleeping positions, sleep paralysis dreams can be caused by stress or being overtired. The shadowy figure is a perennial presence, but it is really the creation of your own subconscious. Most people heard of ghost stories and the spiritworld. Your subconscious uses the fear it causes to wake you up! If you look back at your bad dreams, every time you wake up gradually. That is the only aim of the dream. Please regard your dreams as your guardian angels! Be your dreams good or bad, they are always dreamt to help you! Cheers Wolfjk
