I, too, have had Zombie dreams. Mine are terrifying and VERY vivid. Its like watching 28 weeks later only I'm IN IT! My zombies are relentless and I always just barley escape. Sometimes it seems like they are chasing me for hours before I get scared enough to wake up. Its terrifying. No matter where I go, they are there. I have had some pretty gnarly cannibol dreams over the years, too. I REALLY hate those.

There exists a primitive jungle tribe but, regretfully, I cannot recall geographically where they are located, however, when they dream their dreams are populated by ants as ants predominate, where they reside, so why don't they dream of zombies or alternatively why don't you dream of ants? The answer lies in the information diet which feeds your brain. Whether it is ants, zombies, dolls, the devil, or a god, or whatever, each of those symbols signify a concern in the dreamer about his/her self. What that concern is can often be detected from the theme of the dream.

Hi, im new here. I used a search engine(recurring dreams of the undead) to find this site.
I did so because i have been having recurring undead dreams for over 16 years. I had one last night again and its becoming....complicated. At 12 yrs old i can remember the dreams images as if it occurred yesterday.-Large number of undead were chasing me and i barely crossed a fence to escape them and i stood there watching them gather up against the fence and stared at there rotting faces. I had this same dream about 3 more times over the next 10 years. In my early 20's i had the dream again but it was more complicated. Simply put... The entire world was slowly turning into undead, even the animals. I was the only person left after failing to protect a small group of people i was helping escape the plague. Eventually the entire world turned and i was so tired or running/hiding and was so lonely that i let myself be turned into the undead. This dream recurred about 3 times also. Last night, 8/21/08 The undead were back and this time i was hiding from house to house and hiding in closest. I found an undead who was persuading me to let him turn me. My gender was changing thruout the dream from woman to man but mainly a woman. I decided to run form this zombielord and went to find weapons at a shop which i intended to rob since i had no money- (2 children were their talking to me?). The dealer only had weak guns so i left and started to walk the streets until i saw the zombielord convincing people to sleep with her. i followed her into a house where i found her having sex with multiple men and turning them into zombies. I ran and one of her men chased me, i shot at him over and over and reloaded but he just wouldnt die. In the end i said "your suppossed to die and your not dying so im not playing anymore". The zombie tried to make an arguement but i woke up then. I have enough control over my dreams to do things like that but i dont understand why i keep dreaming of the undead and plagues. |

For the past five years I have had these recurring dreams of being in a zombie survival movie. Each time the dream occurs it's during the day, it raining or at least there is watery sunlight present. I wake up late in the morning to find the usual sounds of life gone and there is total silence. As I look out the window there is evidence that while I was sleeping the zombie apocalypse has occurred. I feel overwhelmed by a sense of safety as I live in an apartment above street level and I know that I have stocked up in preparation. The door is solid and I keep trying to reassure myself as long as I don't make too much sound or cook anything I'll be fine. I watch from the window behind the curtains to the scenes of horror occurring below wondering how long it will be before I'm rescued or need to leave the apartment.
The scene then shifts from the safety of my house to having to move a group of survivors - usually a group of pre-schoolers/school age children to safety. It usually involves trying to find high places to hide them (eg. in the roof/on roof tops) or moving them around to places of shelter, however we receive an early warning that the hiding place is no longer safe and we have to keep moving. Each time the group of zombies appears they are in a massed hungry horde, most of the time slow moving, but every now and then some dreams have the hoard moving very fast, but before the hoard catches up the dream ends very abruptly. I usually wake up and have to switch on the TV for news just to reassure myself it was a dream. It's driving me batty! |

I agree, the zombie dreams are completely related to the pop culture. Too many movies. However there might be a parallel world occupied by these creatures, and we somehow might be travelling there in our sleep. Theory is a theory...who knows, nobody can prove anything.
My zombie dreams, I get them too..heh, well, I am basically the person who saves other people from zombies. I can fly in all my dreams, so I can snatch one person at a time to remove them from immediate danger. Although I am potentially safe, I really dislike this world of mindless bloodthirsty idiots. I feel bad when I have to go back there. |
