reoccuring dream??

Um hi I'm a new member and I've had this dream since we first moved into our first home. Over 14 months ago and its at least once a week.

I wake up suddenly from my sleep because I hear something. I am in my bedroom with my husband and I know I am awake least I think I am lol. I look toward the end of our bed and I see him. No I don't see him. I see his outline I can tell he is male from his outline. He has a black mask on this I can see and nothing more. He says nothing to me he just moves his arm up and then I see it. His gun pointed directly at my head. I am staring straight at the gun. For the longest time in this *dream* I didn't move I didnt do anything I just sat up and shook so violently my husband wakes up and turns on the light and the man disappears. Now I know Its weird right how can a dream exsist not in a dream? Can someone explain this. Also I have gotten very good at finally yelling for my husband when I have this *dream* and the man always fades away as my husband gets up and turns on the light. Then I sit there screaming how he was there he was just right there until I realize oh great I did it again. But someone please tell me how to stop this dream and how on earth am I seeing a dream and my husband in real life at the same time?????? I feel like I am losing my mind. I know I am making my husband a mental case. Tell me I am not crazy PLEASE!!!!!!!
