I've been plagued by nightmares my whole life, most of them pretty vivid and unmistakeable in their content, but I can never quite figure out what they mean. However, it's my latest one that I really need help with.
A bit of background on me: I'm married with a three year old son. That's the short-short version. My latest nightmare happened on the evening of November 22, around approximately 8pm. In it, I told my husband I was going to leave him, in which case he became extremely violent, grabbing me and threatening me (something he would NEVER do, nor has ever done before). I run screaming from the house to my mother's house, as she happens to live next door in my dream (she does not in real life, however). For some reason, I return home at my husband's insistance and begin to give him oral sex. I then proceed to bite his penis while informing him that I WILL be leaving him and he WILL let me go. It's here that I woke up, and I was absolutely drenched in sweat and shivering. My husband is not a violent man, nor do he and I have marital problems beyond what any normal married couple comes upon. This nightmare is haunting me. Can someone help? |

I have a strange schedule: I work an over night shift from 11pm -7am, and I sleep from 7am until noon and again from 7pm until 10:30pm. I've been doing this sleep schedule for 5 years, so I know it's not that, nor was it my sleeping position, as I was in bed at this time.
I do thank you for your input, though.

Thanks for your post. I have sympathy for you as the unsocial hours you work must effect ones rest. I worked shifts for many years. However you should not worry about the meaning of the dream as the subconscious always creates a dream that looks after you. Cheers Wolfjk

Hi,
Dreams in the first 1/3 of the night after dinner or food have no interpretation and are called messy dreams. Dreams after sunrise or in the rest of 2/3 of the night if were bright and vivid may have interpretations correlctly that are called truthful dreams. Good luck.
