| Nightmares! Horrors in the night? Do you wake up screaming, or wish you hadn't fell asleep in the first place? Post it here, or if you are good at helping folks interpret these kind of dreams, then do so here. Maybe you will get a good night's sleep. ; |

I posted a while ago saying I'd moved into a new cottage and me and my partner get weird disturbing dreams each night,
http://www.sleeps.com/forums/general...chat/10797.htm It's still going on even now but the dreams seem to be getting more intense and nightmarish, last night I was dreaming my mobile phone was ringing and I answered it, there was a really rough sounding voice on the other end shouting "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE GET OUT NOW!!!" so in my dream/nightmare I woke up my partner and we left the bedroom only to find the lights had failed in the bedroom and the landing stairway, we both went down the stairs in the dark and into the kitchen to reset the trip switches, when I reach up to the switch box a hand suddenly grabbed mine...I tell ya I woke up with a massive start, waking my partner at the same time (for real not in the dream) it's stayed with me in a very clear distinct way this dream all morning (enough to post it up hear anyway) Any ideas what this could mean??? |

The dream means that you convinced yourself that there is really something sinister in your new house. Infact you hypnotised yourself! In cases like yours there are some remedies, one of them is to call in the clergy to get rid of the imaginary spirit or sell the house to someone who dont believe in that sort of thing. I am sure it is only in your mind, but that is as good as real. It is your choice. Cheers Wolfjk

Ok thanks for the reply Wolfjk, problem is I really don't think there is anything sinister in the house, it's benign if anything, and the added fact my partner is having the same thing going on suggests it's not just me convincing/hypnotising myself, she is having problems with sleeping and weird dreams also...

My experience is that when you have nightmares that wake you in the night, there is always a reason for them. The most common reason for bad dreams is food, especially fatty or highly seasoned food that gives you indigestion. Since both of you have bad dreams you should check on the food you eat. However the first thing you should do is check for any gas or carbon monoxide in the building. Central heating, gasfire or blocked vents could cause the buid up. Appart from these, a strong scent or harmless odour could trigger the dreams. If I were you I would look for a physical cause. Spirits never hurt anyone yet! I hope you solve the problems. Cheers Wolfjk

You sound like you are experiencing symtoms of exposure to high electro magnetic fields generated by bad wiring or wiring that is not insulated...you might want to check your electrical box as well...it may be emitting lots of high EMF
This can also include a feeling of being watched, a sense of presence, headaches, nausea, seeing things that are not there, even skin irritation, paranoia...really realistic and intense nightmares is also one of the symptoms... I am a firm believer in the supernatural but I also know before you make a conculsion that something supernatural is involved...you must first explore natural explanations...

the human brain is so complex that we are never likely to understand it. first of lets get this straight. i beleive that paranormal things can happen but i am an atheiest
they are not as strong as in other animals but humans have instincts, and one of them is to find safe and often permanent shelter you may not feel anything sinister about your house but you may not exactly trust it either. my advice is to get some good food and a few adam sandler movies or something (horror movies will not help!) and start assosiating happy memories with your house as more positive neral pathways grow in assisiation with memoreys of your house you and your partner will feel more safe, secure, comftorbale and at home good luck and remember that the brain is a computer that can only grow through expirience |
