Hi,
It seems you work or study hard and tired all the time , so the dream symbols are mixed , and you can't wake up because you don't sleep enough.

umm first off..
i have the same thing happen to me.. i started having it just two years now..that i can remember.. i wake up in the middle of the night for no reason..looking around but can't move a muscle but can see and move my eyes... i lay their thinking what happening and get scared the first couple of minutes trying to move my toes or finger and even try to yell.. but the only way i can get out of this phase or dream(whatever this is??) is by closing my eyes and fall back asleep.. but after i really wake up i'm afraid to sleep..when i start to fall asleep after a couple of mins i start feeling like i'm losing control again so i just get up and try to go on with the night watching tv and stay up until after school and work.. |

Yeah, i have those 'can't move' dreams pretty often. Usually I have to build up a ton of energy deep inside and then give my body a 'jolt' or 'shake' that nine times out of ten wakes me up.
The wierd thing is sometimes it happens real quick 'bam!' I lay my head down on the pillow and I can feel it coming. So I get a little nervous and shudder my body awake before it kicks in. It feels like my body is drugged. Usually I get up for a bit and then try again. Other times I just say 'to hell with it' and go to bed and hope for the best. What's wierd to me is that sometimes I know that I am awake and just can't move. Other times I know I'm asleep and can't move, and yet other times I feel half asleep and can't move. So there's no real way to know exactly how/when they happen. One thing I found that really helps big time is to sleep on your stomach. For whatever reason sleep paralysis type dreams happen more often on my back. It also might help with those sex type dreams. I would just assume that a woman wouldn't have as many while sleeping on her stomach, if one is comfortable enough to do so. Not a hundred percent sure about that though. |

With some experience I can tell you that sleeping on your stomach will also cause bad dreams! First the sleep paralysis dreams happen when you sleep on your back and breathing becomes difficult because your internal organs spread out inside you and restrict the space. You may also have your arms over your chest, you might be a bit overweight. In the dreams it feels like someone is sitting on you, or you cant move a muscle. The dream is simply frightening you awake. Sleeping on your stomach also becomes stressful especially if you have your arms under your body. In this position one or two creatures attack you in your dream and make you move, turn over or wake up. Cheers Wolfjk

When you feel trapped, stuck or paralyzed, relax. Don't allow anxiety to overcome your rationality. Tell yourself you are dreaming and the dream will soon end. Let yourself go along with any images that appear or things that happen to your body. None of it will hurt you. Adopt an attitude of interest and curiosity about what happens.
