I just had a dream this morning between 9am and 10 am in which i was flying up dark black cave and I tried to get my soul back in my body, that is what it felt like, so finally i realize my whole body is numb and there is darkness/blackness something evil hovering over my body, I could not speak in my dream nor could i move, but i had my mind and thoughts, it was scary but I was not that scared, I wish if I had Angelic powers like Michael that I could send all these demons to a sulfuric acid lake that would burn their spirits, I am serious, I am sick of these dreams! I hate evil. I dont want to debate with anyone if this is just some scary dream or its just spiritual void, dark and evil because i know what i believe in but you are so entitled to your opinion, i just wish it wasnt this way.
But, as I lay there numb, it occured to me that this was something of the devil, but I said the word satan instead, so I knew I was powerless and so in need of help I prayed to God: I said "God help me wake up"
And guess what, I woke up immediately...
I dont know what Im getting myself into in the middle of the night, but if there is any hint of evil or "scariness" in my dreams, I pray in a heartbeat and that is when the dream ends and I get some normal freaken sleep. It doesnt happen this often. But I sense that I need to pray for angelic protection before I sleep because something evil out there hates me. Plus I think that the dream content i have sometimes, is testing my character. No wonder why when I try to induce a lustful dream, i wake up with nightmares later.
So basically If your religious or not, I really think you should just ask for God's intervention. I am seriuos it works for me. You dont have to read the bible or read the koran, but just say his name, all i said was God help me wake up, thats all i said.
I am getting way into this...
Well I sincerely hope everyone gets better sleep, maybe if we sleep with peace in our minds and have silence and meditate things can be better.
I totally agree with you, my experiance was the same, and i was thinking the time i had the same experiance like yours, all i though was God help, and it worked, so therefore it must be true that the soul goes to god everynight, plus ive had dreams where i suddly woke up and took in deep breath of air and my body jumps as if something is going back in my body, but i really agree with you as long as a person belives in God he/she will be okay.

happy dreams.

Damn all this stuff is so weird to hear because its all happening to you and know how they effect you. And I just thought about something. Unless you get a direct simulation from that object or person it's just a thought. Just like if you just tanned on the beach. And as your doing it you think about it and you feel it. But 20 mins later if you think about being out there it is just a thought and you aren't still out there. You could fall asleep and take a nap and what ever you had a dream about could seem so real because its over and you don't "feel" it any more. So in a sense everything is a thought and you could take your dreams so literal as into a thought you actually did do.

Default i agree to take control over thought in dreams

yeah, you know i read on another website that if you lucid dream you better be positive cause whatever you think comes true..however, i dont want to waste any time thinking of dreaming too much cause i've been having nothing but nightmares and im getting tired of it. i'd rather wake up refreshed every morning...the mind is so powerful that i cannot feed into negative thinking anymore...

Owch.

This is exactly why I go along with my dreams even if I realize it's lucid. I've had dreams where I've gone totally lucid; however, they're never had good results.

Once, probably the first time I was lucid, around age 8, I woke myself up accidentally, but part of me tried to stay asleep. So, for a got 10 minutes I was sort of inbetween, with my mind in the dream but my senses gone. I couldn't see and my hearing was very distant and it was an all around frightening experiance (though I don't consider it a nightmare)

The other time I do. I was told in the dream that we were going to go visit my cousin, and I was fine with it. But, after we got there, I realized that my "cousin"was not someone in my waking life. At that point, I recognized it all as a dream. Instead of waking up, I decided to just test the waters out a bit. I threw things, laughed and explained to everyone that this was all just my dream, and that the cousin-person was not a real person. My family, on the other hand didn't believe me, and were calling 911 for help from my crazy little stunt.

I explained that all I had to do was wake up and they would see! The only problem is I tried and failed. Then, I ran out of the house, but the cousin followed. She yelled at me that breaking the rules of dreams was not allowed, and now I couldn't wake up. Everytime I tried to wake up, I would simply change locations, and the Cousin would still be there. She was antagonistic and cruel, and eventually, she tried to suffocate me. I finally woke up and felt like I couldn't breathe.

I call this cousin-character a member of the dream police, and basically, even when I lucid dream I try to avoid her. Notably, though, after that dream I gained a lot more... insight into my dreams while still dreaming? It's funny, though, that that's probably one of the few nightmares I've ever had...

Post face your fear

i think the presence (malevolence) may be a symbolic representation of your own greatest fears.
just remember that as soon as you figure out its a dream you are in absolute control.
maby you should stop running and face your fears.
if it shows itself you could disintergrate it with a singe whim and if it gets you you'l wake up anyway so no problems

You say that you are lucid but not in control of the dream. One thing you could try to do when you become lucid is to look at your hand. Sounds odd, but it works. Also try to stay calm and remember that it is a dream and that nothing can hurt you. Have no fear. If you have tried meditation in your waking life, you could apply it to your lucid dream. Just breathe, relax and tell yourself it’s all an illusion, watch any images just come and go without any fear towards them. Concentrate on your breath. If there is something malevolent pursuing you, turn and face it, it should disappear.

Don’t worry, you are doing really well if you are lucid already, you are halfway there. You just have to overcome the fears. Good luck.

Default Same Exact dream!

Dreamintonite...That is so Incredibly strange!!!! I had the exact dream about 2-3 mnts ago..Where I was in pitch dark all alone. And I felt like my legs were broken...I tried to move them..but couldnt. I wondered for a second if they were broken at all because I couldnt feel anything Or even see anything. THen I felt some voice speak to me that was evil (Voice of a guy I crushed on b4 I gotten married 4yrs ago) As though it were trying to convince me to stay. But I said "forget this" because it didnt feel right. So I ignored it and PRAYEd to God. AND immmediatly I was out of the dream.
Now I have had a simpler dream a few years prior to this where I could see all around me, & I was yelling at myself to wake up, get up, and open my eyes. But nothing worked....Until I prayed to god to help me.'

Also, if you can identify what is scaring you in the dream into real life. Maybe if god really is "Cleansing us" at night while we sleep...he is also trying to make us confront our demons in life, or Impure thinking while we sleep. Sometimes while he puts us out by ourself & alone in the 'dark', he is really just 'Testing' us to see if we will come back to him while in fear.
So maybe once you confront these 'impure thoughts' while your awake, then the Nightmares will be GONE.
Its just an idea..that makes sense to me, hope it helps.
