lucid dreaming... means you brought the dream on yourself. and theres some way you know you are dreaming, people use different tricks. but yes, it's like conscious dreeaming.

well...i'm sure there are some that will agree with the psych approach to dreaming. however, there is more to life than a book can ever tell you. psychology i feel, as much as i appreciate it, i feel, it tries to make solid scientifically or medically proven reasons for everything. that to me is kind of thinking inside a bubble and not accepting there are outside influences that can and will pop a bubble. not everything can be seen or touched. there are greater things out there than just us!
i will step across the line to say that it may be that sometimes psychology is a little afraid to explore and/or accept the unexplained as it just is and a little to contained a thinking. behavior is one thing...but...can psychology explain dreams with proof to begin with. they cant touch it or prove it physically. so, why do they think they can explain it? just a thought! edge Last edited by edge : 11-02-2007 at 07:08 AM. |

when i go to sleep...i never thought about dreaming...after the long hours i put in...i just want to sleep!
the lucids...come when i am weakest....and unprepared. i never understood the first one i had or why. i never consciously thought about it. i wanted sleep! edge |

Everything you said hits right on with me. It kinda made me freak out a little bit. Not so much the last paragraph... but about being able to know a person by looking at them. I've always decided whether or not a person is "good" by being around them for a very short time or even just looking at them once. And I've also found a lot of my dreams to be very foretelling... even if it's very small or silly details that would cause absolutely no gain. It's just kinda unusual. I also can control my dreams... if I want to. Which usually I don't... just like you said... to see where they take me. And if they do get too scary I'll wake myself up. Very seldom do I have a dream in which I'm not aware that I'm dreaming. In my dreams I can always fly... no matter what the situation... I can fly. I'm scared to tell anyone because I know they would secretly think I'm crazy. So, if it makes you feel any less abnormal... I think we share the same "abilities" |
