I Need Some Help About A Certain Dream

Well, I am an older teenager now, and I had this dream when I was younger. It was very strange and very random and I have no idea if it has any special meaning, but I would love to hear anybodies opinion or analysis.

My dream went like this - Its night-time, and I'm outside on my back porch. I can feel the warm air and even hear the crickets (I assumed it was summer since it felt like it). Suddenly, I start to feel myself being pulled towards the front of my house, so I start walking. When i get to the front, I look towards the sky in this big opening between two trees. I can see this star in the sky, and even though its dark out, its the only star I can see. Suddenly, the star starts to pulsate and get very very large. There's a flash, and the star is now this huge glowing sphere. It has all these colors pulsating through it, and almost like a sliver outline. I can also see these strange markings on the surface. Amazingly, nobody has walked out of their homes. There's another flash, and my whole neighborhood is gone. All that's around me is endless land and green fields. I can feel a warm breeze. The sphere is just floating there and I just stand there looking at it. I feel the breeze again, and there's another flash, I am now back to my normal neighborhood. I look at the sphere and I see hundreds of shooting stars. The sphere begins to shrink and than it returns back to the normal star. All around it is the very bright and beautiful glow, almost like a nebula. Than the dream ends.

I had a dream very similar to what you described. It was night time, and again, it seemed like Summer. I was at an old house in the country that resembled my H.S. girlfriend's old home. She wasn't there, but an old couple were. They were sitting at the picnic table at the side of the house and the old man showed me a cardboard box that looked like a flat from a case of soda cans and inside there were several discs of different colors that appeared and felt like some kind of quartz or other translucent stone. They were smooth on each side but had jagged edges. After I picked one up to look at it, a ray of light about 2 inches across flashed down at an angle in front of my face and it was the same white-blue as starlight. Looking up, I saw that it came from a star that was at about a 30 degree angle from the horizon. Out of curiosity, I placed the disc in the beam and it reflected perfectly. I played a bit at making the beam go in different directions. Then I reflected it back upon itself, back at the star. This made the whole sky light up and the star radiated light looking like the effect of smoke moving through a circular spinning laser. (only analogy I can think of) I did the same thing with some other discs and it had the same effect. As I was getting rather excited about this new plaything, I reached into the box and found a silver metallic disc that had smooth edges and a textured surface. On the surface was a face and a symbol. I wish I could describe the symbol accurately. The face was a profile of a man with a beard, reminded me of an old Greek or Roman face. Anyway, when I placed this disc in the beam and reflected it back, the entire sky went white in an instantaneous flash that startled me so much it woke me up immediately.

Now as I remember this, I do believe there were some shooting stars as well. This was dreamed about 15-18 years ago.
