Red face Short lucid dream experience!~

Last night I took some hints from this site on how to bring about a lucid dream. I have these from time to time, but I wanted to have more control. So here is my experience

I went to sleep telling myself over and over that I would have a pleasant lucid dream. Next thing I remember, I am walking about in my neighborhood with a friend..I tell myself, hey I might be dreaming. So I start to fly, flapping my arms for maximum control. It was nice, usually when I fly it is very reckless and I'm not very good at it. But I was in great control! I flew above the neighborhood for a bit, then remembered another tip from this site, to look at your hand if you think you're in a dream. I did this, and it was incredible! I slowly floated to the ground while looking at my hand..my hand and beyond it looked like they were made up of bright, swirling paint, with very bright colors. It was very surreal.
My friend and I start walking to my house, and along the way we see this big man..he is very mad at us for some unknown reason to me. He has a shotgun and he threatens us with it!..I lose my lucidity..We are terrified and we run for cover in my house and lock all the doors.

Any tips on how to stay lucid? Why do you think I lost it? It was a grand experience until the end..Thanks!

Default how to stay lucid

1. Stay calm - don't run around or shout "I'm dreaming!" if you can help it. It's better to get a grip and relax back into the dream.

2. Rubs your hands together - movement appears to engage the conscious brain and prevent it from changing to a waking state.

3. Look at your hands - focus on your hands close-up to help you notice the finer details which aren't normally present in a dream.

4. Demand "clarity now" - say it out loud and your dreamscene will instantly snap into focus, as per your conscious instruction.

5. Do some mathematics - do a simple arithmetic sum in your head, such as 5 + 5, which engages the logical part of your brain.

If you notice the dream is slipping away (losing color and detail):

6. Spin around - spinning helps stabilize your awareness of the dream and often results in a new dreamscene.

7. Fall backwards - again, this relies on the principle that movement helps increase self-awareness within the dream.

The best is the spinning technique it work for me pretty good
