Incredibly detailed buildings, anyone?

For a long while I've had these wonderful dreams about buildings. Usually I'm traveling, and I see Baroque palaces, sculptures, museums, fountains, houses, all of them so detailed that I can get close to them and see the smallest thing. It's really amazing, because I'm not an architect, and although I like drawing and painting, I usually create scenes with natural elements and animals, not buildings. I wouldn't be able to recreate the buildings of my dreams (sometimes even whole cities). I like to collect photos of palaces and other masterpieces, but those in my dreams are totally new, nothing that I may have seen before.

I have very vivid dreams about many things, but these dreams about buildings intrigue me a lot. Am I the only one, or does anybody here have dreams like these too?

Hi Gissel!
I think because architectural beauty matters to me in my waking life, I tend to experience an interest in it while dreaming as well. I've always found it humorous that it would be the same in both cases. For instance, during a dream based on some "non-architectural" theme, I'll find myself poring over some building detail, or some beautiful style of design. It's like walking through the woods and abruptly stopping to pick up an amazing leaf, then studying it's amazingly detailed structure and design - all those separate, colored cells of paper.

Thanks for answering, Briar It's not that I feel weird or anything about these dreams, but it's nice to find someone else who has had the same experience! I still find it curious that I see things in my dreams that I wouldn't be able to imagine in real life. Our minds do strange things when we're sleeping, for sure!

Don't you feel like you've steeped into another dimension, where you can explore new things?? Like, "Hey, this is nice, let me take a closer look at it."

there are lots of artist that doing it, the can draw their dreams and make beautiful pictures of this dream visions.

To draw or paint the buildings I've seen in my dreams, I'd have to be an incredibly good artist. I mean, it would be like painting Notre Dame from memory! That's beyond my skills, for sure (sigh).
