I dreamed about a woman that died!

Last night I dreamed about a woman, that meant alot to me. She died a few years ago, and we were very close. As a matter of fact she help me greatly just a few months before my mother died, and then she died two months later of the exact same way, a stroke, and she was only in her 40's. Anyway, I seen her in my dream last night, I seen her so clear, her eye's, and her beautiful smile. So real is was unbelievable! She said something to sort of joking that she had to leave soon, and I pull her to me and told her about my feelings for her, and that she was the only one for me, and that it was her that I want to always come home to.. she smiled and said to you really mean that and I said yes, and we both hug each other real tight! I felt so happy then I woke up from the dream, and called out in the room, but your dead how can this be! All today I've been bothered by this dream. I wish it could be true,but she is gone! It was a wonderful dream, and I wish to be able to contact her again. I've never had such a real dream before. or was it a dream? Some say in REM sleep you can visit the spirit world?

Help me if you can with this dream..

I am sorry for your loss... I just wanted to tell you the little I know... I know we are so much more than physical bodies. Soul is something humanity still tries to understand, yet the essence of us. I believe life and love go on. I wouldn't stop loving somebody just because this particular lifetime ends.

Thank you for your kind words. It does seem to comfort my soul thinking that life goes on even after our death. Do you think people can reach the spirit world during REM sleep? I never really thought much about it before, but this dream seemed to real!

I know what you mean... It is strange how in my dreams (lucid or not at all) I am sure I exist and get the same feeling as in "real" life and vice versa, I feel everything so strange and blurry in real life when I get the deja-vu feeling, like it is not the true reality. Whatever the cause is, I know we just don't exit the spirit world this is just who we all are
