Default Are Lucid dreams common?

In most of my dreams I'm very aware that I'm in a dream I do things in those dreams that make sense during the dream but when I wake up I wonder why I did the things I did.
Many of my dreams are lucid, I was just wondering if thats a common thing or not.

It depends on the person, some people can have up to 5 lucid dreams a night. Others may only have 1 lucid dream a weak or anywhere in between. So I guess it has to do with the person, or how much you practice dreaming...

Although LDs do occur, to my knowldge, they are not frequent occurrences although presumably they are more common to some than to others.

I think having lucid dreams shows the power your id has over your ego. You can learn to reprss or change what your ego is trys to show you do to the anxiety it produces. So when you can change the out come of a dream that is your id stepping in to reduce the anxiety of your dream.
