I've heard of a few different people, becoming lucid through fear in dreams. I can't remember any dreams I've had with fear, but it would be pretty smooth if you could turn the tide, through lucidity. Let me know if you have any success with this. Thanks for posting. - Manny |

I think maybe we can become lucid in scary dreams to protect ourselves from fear or whatever haunts our dreams and once you can make it a habit it can be called upon in any nightmare to stop it.
I have always had lucid dreams they are not a constant just sometimes. My first lucid dreams started when i found myself in pretty convincing dreams and then something stupid would happen or i would see something weird like for instance maybe a staircase would be lopsided and i would think hey hang on this isn't a real situation i'm dreaming. After that i found that when i realised i was dreaming i would test the dream to check so i would start doing somersaults or making things move anything that i knew i couldn't do. When i had bad dreams the same thing would happen i would see something that couldn't be real and i would be so relieved i was dreaming and i would start to control the dream so nothing could hurt me. I can't make myself wake up but i can make the dream my own. It helps me anyway and i rarely have nightmares these days but i do have lucid and sometimes very real dreams. |
