Exclamation my nine hour dream

i just signed up to dream central, and havent even looked around, because i just really want to share some of my experiences with dreams.
i hope to find some feedback.of course because dreams are fascinating, but also to maybe help me come to accept that, yes,i dream(a lot),but they dont have to stay with me for so long.
I fly in my dreams a lot.I Love it so much!!!!! I bring my friends along, teach friends and strangers how to fly also.I travel the world(and sometimes get lost!)I go slow, fast, low, high.Sometimes i spend long nights just trying to get and stay off the ground, climbing up walls trying to get a jump off,or being able to only barely leap over one building or so at a time.Sometimes i splat into sides of buildings and get to have very interesting and lasting encounters!(pretty much like my life!) I JUST LOVE IT ALL!
I VERY rarely have bad dreams.Sometimes i wake myself up yelling or growling warnings to people, usually i remember who it was, usually someone i know. But i dont consider those bad dreams, although my blood is pulsing fast.
Sometimes i wake up extreemly sad and/or depressed. But that is rare.
My life has been run(by me)very horribly!in 1995 my husband and i tried meth, within a month our family was dissolved.i couldnt deal, and spent the next ten years on meth!im clean now, thanks in large part to drug rehab. My point here is that my kids and i lost eachother-hard!They are 15,18,and 21 now.only the oldest one will talk to me,she has 2 wonderful daughters!
I added the last paragraph to illustrate my beliefs about something i read years ago somewhere. That for some people, life is so hard to live that some survival part of our subconcious will not let us have bad dreams,or at least not remember them. Thank God!
I hope im not breaking rules or being foolish for posting so long!
What finally prompted me to post is a dream i had two nights ago.
It was a bad dreeam in which i awoke yelling a warning to back off.My partner awoke and tried to comfort me,but i swatted at him to leave me alone so i could go finish and make right my dream.(i do this often)I looked at my watch and went back to sleep. Nine hours later the phone woke me up,and i was still in the same dream, had been doing a lot to "make it right".
I remember all the scenes that happened,it WAS like life. And I still hadnt finished and "made it right"
Ive always suspected that my dreams last a long time, and i AM convinced now. I woke up about 4 times between that first time and the end.I KNOW i dreamed all night long.
Does anyone else who reads this have similer experiences?
Will someone talk with me about this?

hello.. how very lucky you are to have dreams like that.. i have vivid odd dreams.. last night was the first dream i have ever had that i really didnt know i was dreamin.. it was so real.. i was just sittin at my computer desk like i do everyday.. then me and my husband were BDing and he was whispering let it go.. then he was with another woman and tellin me "almost there".. this if the first time i have remembered what was being said too..

i have never heard of a nine hour dream.. i was taught in school that dreams are 15 secs and seem much much longer than that.. you dont start dreamin until you are gettin close to waking up.. i would love to have longer dreams.. i have no problem rememberin what they are about, just dont understand them..

good luck with makin your dream right.. (i have never done or thought about doin that..)

Default dreams in cycles

In psychology class I learned that dreams occur in 5 stages, the total stages making up 90 minute intervals of dreams. We dream in the REM stage, the last part of the interval, so this why dreams are so vivid right after waking up because we're coming out of the dream stage. I don't know that you could dream for 9 hours straight, however it's possible that you had a continuous dream lasting during the night that picked up where it left off every time you entered the dream stage.

Default 'Making it right'

Dear Macass,
So sorry to hear that you have been through so much in your life, but I’m happy to know that you have got yourself clean and now have a good relationship with one of your children. I’ve never experienced a long dream like you have described. I think only a couple of times I have managed to get back to the same dream after waking.

I’m no expert, but will hazard a guess. You talk about ‘making it right’ and I think that is what you were trying to do in your dream. I’ve read a few books by Michael Sharp and I think he may explain your situation quite well. Everything is energy and everything you do creates energy, either positive or negative. You have free choice to do what you want, but you have to clear up any negative energy that you create. I think that you can work through a lot of issues whilst dreaming. I think maybe you have so much that you want to work through and ‘make right’ as you say.

I think it is brilliant that you wanted to keep getting back to this dream, so obviously it was something that you needed to do. It’s really good to know that you weren’t running away from the dream, but trying to work it out. Keep working at it. Good luck, I hope everything works out well for you.
