Well, after researching Lucid dreaming and experiencing one or two, I decided to write a story. I have also read about people sharing the same dreams and put this in, so here's a short explanation on how I want it to be. I'm keeping it short at first because I have to head to class in a few.
Well, lets see. What if your dreams weren't restricted to only you? What if instead of entering your own dream you enter into another reality, a sort of dream world to balance your waking world? That is my basis and I was thinking about the government discovering this and essentally controlling this dream world and sending subliminal messages through our dream to "support our wars" or "Buy our products". Through these messages, they are able to convince the masses to take a new drug which essentially blocks the brain from being able to induce a lucid dream, the only way to contorl your dreams and mount a resistance. That's just the beginning anyways. It seems kinda liie a Cliche action adventure movie, but I want it to be more dialogue than action. I'm not sure exactly how It'll work out, but it's just a start.

Sounds like a brilliant idea. The funny thing is, you’re probably not far off the truth there. Our spiritual abilities are suppressed by the so called powers that be. Have you followed this thread through?
http://www.sleeps.com/forums/lucid-d...ming/11539.htm From my experience, we are all paralysed through fear. But you can get over this when you have lucid dreams. Also violence on TV really affects your sleep. Think of all the damage done to young kids minds through those hideous computer games. Good luck with your story. |

The book entitled 'The Hidden Persuaders' follows a similar theme and so too does the book 'Nineteen-Eighty Four' to mention but two; Another would be 'The Battle For The Mind' so you can hardly claim originality.

Hi Bubba. Well, some believe that dreams can be a glimpse into a parallel world. I do know some medications can block our dreams, or rather suppress them. Where, i guess they lie in our unconscious. Vivid, lucid dreams that don't leave us can possibly be contact with a departed loved one. I have had a few like that. And, I believe that some dreams are just mumbo jumbo, and others have a meaning. Whether that is clear to us at the time is what is confusing. Some are just more obvious then others. In any case, our minds can create all kinds of confusing thoughts. I imagine the unconscious is more complicated then the conscious. And it helps to have others to help sort them out. Another perscective always helps. I don't think the government controls our thoughts, but I am not, however, ruling that out completely.

I don't know about your book, but I can say that certain symbols mean paticular things that happen when I am awake like for every action there is a reaction. Because I have had them for so long that when I see them in my dreams it causes me to relize that I am dreaming and only for a few moments I can control my dream.I usually wake up afterwards. People usually thing I am crazy when I tell them but I keep a book of dates and times along with what happend in the dream as well as the out come when I woke up. I guess if someone told me this I wouln't believe eather.AllI can say is for me the key to your dreams is a pattern. If you can reconize something like when my teeth fall out in my dreams I relize that I am dreaming because I know that someone is going to die and I only learn that when I am dreaming. Good luck
