Hello Charles H,
That is exactly my original question. And you describe it the same way that I have experienced it. That puzzled realization on other peoples faces that you are in a dream. But like you say, how do you know for sure if you are all there together? Thank you for your reply. |

Well, I have a twin brother and we both are hard core dreamers. Neither of us has ever shared the same dream that we are aware of. The reason I say this is cuz we are very close and can almost read each other's minds at times, so if anyone could share a dream we would be one of the one's that would.
So I am skeptical about it. But, I will say, that it may be possible to communicate with a loved one in a dream after they passed away. I once held my grandmather in my arms after she had died, and boy did it seem as real as these keys I am typing on. But who knows, emotions can really word a person over. |

Thank you Neo Tank,
Although, if you think you can communicate with a departed one through your dream, then why not someone who is also dreaming? Your consciousness must meet the departed consciousness somewhere? This is where is all gets a bit weird isn’t it? You are lucky to be so close to your brother and like you say, if anyone could do then you should be able to. Does your brother appear much in your normal dreams? I certainly have a connection with my sister (but probably not as much as you do being a twin), but I never dream of her. Let me know if you ever meet him in your dream. |

He's in more of my dreams then anyone. I'd say he is in at least one a night. But you must realize I dream A LOT, with lots of different family in them.
The only thing that might make sense (To me) would be that maybe people might experience a 'dream' together, but with it being different for each person. I just think each unique human mind is to complicated for people to share the 'exact' same dream. But who knows... |

Everyone dreams, however you are lucky enough to have vivd dreams and remember them. However, do you have any lucid dreams?

Yes, but not every night or at my beck and call. It just kind of happens. Some nights I will know I am dreaming and can control them, which is fun, but other times I know I am dreaming but can only control myself and not what is going on around me. This can be very scary at times. I try to wake myself up if it gets too wierd, and a lot of times I think I wake up but I'm still in some other dream... I would say that my dreaming hits opposite ends of the spectrum. I've had some of the coolest dreams imaginable, but also some of the most horrifying ever. One thing I noticed is that a full moon seems to make me dream crazier then normal. Last I checked I am not a werewolf |

Neotank,
Your expereinces sound exactly the same as mine. I have had some fantastic stuff happen, but also some rather nasty stuff. Sometimes I have 'woken' up somewhere and there are beings that are really hostile towards me. I then have to try and wake myself up. Now whenever I find myself away, I just get into lotus position and try to meditate. It seems to stop the wierd stuff. I have to say that I would love to have even one night where I do not wake up. I NEVER sleep a whole night without waking at least 3 times. Even 2 would be good. It's all very exhausting.

But on occasion, I am still able to provoke OBE's and lucid dreaming.
As a child, I never had to consciously try. When I got a little older, I seemed to stay within the confines of my room only. A few years ago, I tried successfully to provoke an OBE and leave the bedroom. I had just moved in with my then boyfriend--now husband. I floated just slightly above the floor-and made it to the kitchen...I remember vividly watching the carpet strip's pattern and looked to my left through the french doors leading to our sunroom. But then I was suddenly yanked back into the bedroom-I woke up, was kind of breathless, but smiling! I couldn't believe that I actually had the energy and power to do that! I haven't tried in a while. For quite sometime now, I've been plagued with haunted nightmares about the X. So, now that I have finally figured those out, I'm ready to do the night flights again! Maybe even pay a little well-deserved haunted visit to the X--no-wouldn't give him the satisfaction--besides he's probably too stupid to know it's not really a dream! I posted my latest nested nightmare (from this am) on the nightmare post forum... |

Once before I went to sleep after reading about shared dreams, I wanted to try in on my husband without telling him. So I decided to "Repeat" his "Name" over & over again while Imagining his face right before I fell asleep. That same night I dreamth I was on a Trampoline jumping with my husband...& I accidentally pushed him off. Then I saw him in a wheelchair.
When I woke up I asked him if he dreamed anything (Normally he cant remember)...initially he said no,..but then I asked if he saw a Trampoline? and he Freaked out & said,"YES! and Something pushed me off...and it HURT!" I said sorry of course...he just kept saying that it "really hurt" It was pretty cool though, I was thinking about this dream the other day of whether, He came into my dream, or did I go into his dream? The STRANGE part Im beginning to notice is Each person takes their own VIEW on the dream as there own Perspective (As in Real Life). For example, I was the pusher in the dream...so I didnt feel any pain (or Even think about it) While my husband took the view as the Pushee & actually felt the pain of falling off the trampoline. |
