Ghosts?
This occurrence only happens in cold weather. The story before the dream is that one afternoon, my mother and I went through the cemetery and an old Civil War Time church yard. I happened to look up at the bell tower and saw a woman standing on the top bell balcony. She was dressed in the civil war time dress and she had long brownish blond hair. The dress itself was blue and white. As I was looking, I tried to scream and move, but I couldn't. The woman looked down at me, then disappeared. I was so shaken that my legs turned to jello. We left as soon as we could and I went to the Historian of the town and told him about my encounter. He said that he's heard from other people the same story, except the woman has never looked down towards them, always towards the river. He said he believed that the woman's name was Catherine.
The night after I saw the woman at the church, I had a dream about her. I could see the outline of my house (I live on a farm) and she was knelt down where my sister's room is. 'Catherine' was begging a Northern Soldier for her life. She said 'Please don't kill me, we can make this work, I promise.' The soldier responded to her 'No. Our families don't like each other and we're on different sides.' He lifted his pistol and just shot her in the head. She dropped dead right there. He knelt down, took her hand and kissed it, then said 'Goodbye my love, we shall be together again'. (There happened to be an occurrence were I was in 'Catherine's place, and woke up just before I was shot in the head)
Like I said, I only have this dream when it's cold outside and at least 3 times a year. What exactly is occurring?
