I'm new here, and just looking to escape my dreams... although i do love them to death...
Ive been having lucid nightmares since i can remember. I know i'm dreaming and i just dont want to wake up. if i do wake up, i go back to sleep and get back into the dreams on purpose... i like being able to control my dreams, almost as if im in a virtual reality game.... but my dream content is quite disturbing..\ as I begin to dream im always on a invisible swing high up inthe sky amongst the clouds with no land in sight... and i swing higher and higher until i jump into a dream... as peaceful as that sounds, my dreams are extremely morbid. end of the world kinda stuff... is this weird? is my method of "dream jumping" causing my lucid nightmares... And about 50% of my dreams are always massive waves coming from the ocean... tsunamis, tidal waves, everybody i know running and dieing... and in 50% of these dreams the ocean water is blacker than oil.. why black ocean water??? why is everyone i know there??? And in these dreams i know the water is coming and im telling them, but they dont listen, and im saying we're gonna die, and they just tell me not to say that.... once things get real scary in my dreams i can remember me telling myself you'll wake up soon i remember one of my crazy tidal wave dreams starting out where i fell asleep and i was sleeping in my dream and when i awoke my family had taken me and my daughter to the island for a surprise vacation, and me being pissed off cuz i knew what was coming...needless to say, that dream was terrible because i ended up losing the little one, making it worse cuz i tried my hardest to save her.... im going nuts~ hah~ btw the island is south padre island in texas which i happen to live like 30 mins away from i guess i just needed to get some of my dreams off my mind.... sorry if i bored you all... ~caius jlonius caligula |

50% of it is good
50% of it is bad there is a 50/50 chance that this will work out and you can live out the dream but you are doubtful? Why? Is there an illness or broken relationship? People around you don't believe you, and don't want you to believe it either. Over whelming feelings of hitting you like waves (tidal) overwhelming you, your wanting to get out. Everyone is trying to be supportive during your time of need and it upsets you even more. There is no peace in you home (Paradise) It's a beautiful place and you should be happy but your not. Because your trying real hard to save (relationship?) but it's not working. |

Are you psychic? This could explain the meaning of your dreams. You could have the gift of prophecy regarding impending disastor. The reason I ask is because I am psychic.

Water in most dreams indicate emotions and feelings. The dark, gray color and danger of waves, rivers, and waterfalls indicate an amount of stress, anxiety, frustration in the dreamers psychie.

talk with people in your family about this. J.R.R. Tolkien had that and later on his son did as well. My grandmother and I also have that dream.

Caius, I have also had many Tsunami dreams. At first I would run from the waves as well. Lately I have been through many hideous deaths in my dreams (including having my head cut off). Each time I have just gone through them, trying not to run away from it or be fearful. This has included many Tsunamis. When I saw that Tsumani coming towards me, I was just face it and go with it.
Are you lucid in these dreams? Do you know that you are dreaming? If so, remember to breathe underwater, it’s a very strange sensation. Your impulse is to hold your breathe and panic, but you are not really underwater are you? You will feel all the sensations that you would expect being underwater, but there is no pain to be fearful of. Apparently, if you can breathe underwater in your dreams, you have bridged the gap between your conscious and subconscious. If you can just go through them, they should gradually disappear. Don’t worry, you didn’t bore anyone. |
