Feelings for a friend that wasn't himself?!?!?!

This was a silly dream and really confused me.
I had this dream where I went up to my friend Pat's door with a repoter & I knocked on door. The thing is Pat wasn't Pat it was Pat's voice but this other guy Cody (the real guy that I like). I kept calling Cody, Pat & he (Cody) was confused why I was calling him Pat. (So since I was calling Cody Pat, I'll do so here) Pat couldn't see me because I was up against the house out of his site when he answered the door. When he answered, the reporter asked him if he could go with her to talk. Pat said yes & they started to walk off & turned to look at where I was standing but he couldn't see me only the reporter could see me. As they were walking off, I felt guilty & sad, but I don't know why. I went to a coffee shop & happened to notice that they were there talking. The only thing was, the reporter was giggling & hitting on Pat & he wasn't really liking it much so I walked off when I noticed this was hapening. Through out this whole dream I was feeling sad & hurt. This time Pat could see me & he came over to talk to me. He asked me what was wrong. I told him that I was hurt that he would cheat on me. He said that he would NEVER cheat on me. He then told me that he was supposed to be doing an interview with this reporter but she lied to him just to get him to go out with her. We went walking through the coffee shop to a little music lobby where people were singign there music that weren't dicovered yet. Pat was behind me holding onto me and I had my arms around his. I felt like I was secure with him. When I woke up, I could really feel someones arms around me.
Now in the dream, I kept calling Cody Pat. Don't know why? I would like to know why. All I know is that Cody had Pats voice but everything else was Cody. Could anyone help me please?

Any ideas? Any one? I want to know why all of my dreams have been out of wack for the last few nights?

Well, like I said, I have and never had any feelings for Pat. I do however like Cody. Now, my ex who I never dream about and no lionger have contact with was not in my dream. I left him for a reason and am glad that we no longer talk. But how would that affect the dream?

The reason why Pat's voice came through is possibly that you felt he had rejected you and your fear today is that Cody might too reject you; like a repeat situation. It seems that Pat may have had an affair outside of your relationship with him which hurt emotionally. Well, it did a little. I have only liked Pat as a friend and nothing more. I never felt anything for him. Yes there is a girl in Cody's life that I know of.
