Don't remember what happened before this -- just something about a white floor lamp out in a church parking lot, upside down so I turned it rightside up, but the lamp part was missing -- just a big, fat, industrial sized base and pole. And something about a beauty salon and hair dresser, too.
I was looking under something (like a dresser) and noticed there were worms multiplying under it. I was aware that I was dreaming. These worms were like stuck to it but their little bodies were squirming around from where they were stuck and they were skinny and less than a quarter inch long. I started squishing them, but it only made them multiply worse so I got the idea to look for something to spray on them. I found some sort of clorox bleach foam. I noticed some had fallen onto a shag carpet and were also multiplying there. I sprayed this foam on them and then a tiny little (maybe 4 inch) dolphin started jumping around in there (like it was swimming in water). I felt terrible, because it had this foam on it. so I quickly got a little container of water to clean it... then kept rinsing the chemical off of it and got bigger bowls for it. It was very sweet. I kept petting and kissing it. I took a mental note that I needed to find out what this meant in my dream. Then some people showed up in costume. I knew I recognized them as some of my climbing partners, but wasn't sure. They were standing around in a group. One of them took the dolphin and put it in the ocean. I was worried it wouldn't live and I went into the water too. I couldn't see it. Then a fish or something about a foot long came over -- dark colored. I think it was the dolphin, so I felt better. As I was getting out of the water, something furry swam by and tried to get out, too. It turned out to be a rat, and I thought "Oh, no, this is not good. I'll need to know what this means in the dream". I got out and somebody showed up who was trying to sell my ex-husband some papers. They were blue and represented several properties and businesses, etc. There were LOTS of them and they all had to be purchased as a group. I was trying to get information and was aware he may have been scamming us. Apparently, one of the businesses had paid off, as the owner had died and because of this, the guy had become rich. Now he wanted to get rid of the others. I asked him point blank what he was paying each month go maintain all of these, and he said "only about $500 a month". My ex decided he didn't want it , but it seemed an opportunity to help me support my family, but it could also be a big mistake. I was still gathering information and thinking on it when I woke up. I felt bad that I was drilling the guy, but I needed the information and when I awoke, I was still trying to think of ways to get an accounting of everything. There were other factors that I just don't remember. |

well the pivotal moment appears to be linked to the $500. Think about the emotions during that portion of the drea,m. what recent thoughts and feelings does it remind you of. Its the kind of thing thats best done at the exact time of the dream. If the dream is fresh then its likely that the dream subject will be etched on your mind. What money type issues where in your mind at that time? what issues regarding your husbands WORTH and value were on your mind
------------------ It is actually possible to understand what dreams mean. Simply look at the effects on people who have gone without sleep for a long time period. If you are deprived of sleep for several days then you will slip into madness. The reason for this is that sleep and dreams are linked to vital brain functions. During the day we store up new thoughts and experiences within short term memory blocks. So if we are deprived sleep these become overloaded. The mind has no more space to store new feelings so these are merely forgotten. During sleep vital brain waves emerge. Beta waves and theta waves are only ever detected within the brain at night. These help us process through those new feelings and experiences stored in short term memory. We integrate these new feelings into long term memory blocks. So if you do not sleep then you will not be updating your thoughts. You will not be building a bigger picture. After re-reading the dream and your response, I'd say the feeling I had when he said it cost him $500 per month to have all these papers, was that I was taking control of the situation. I wasn't waiting for my ex to make the decisions and just floating by, but I was "drilling the guy" and asking questions. I felt a little guilty for being so forceful, but I was taking control and making decisions.
My feelings about my ex? He tends to be the "wet blanket" in decision making -- very conservative in one way, and yet throws money away in really dumb things (can't see the forest for the trees), usually leaving the family in want/need and the bank account empty. I guess I've had a hands-off approach with most decisions during our marriage, and am now trying to become independent (even still after 6 years of being single). Weird thing is that day and the day after I was noticing I was not taking any baloney from people around me. I even confronted a total stranger at a pool for the way she was treating her child (among other things). I felt partially guilty for it, too, but what she was doing was very wrong (it was the day following the dream) Maybe this is related to my trying to take control of my own life. Been having several really weird dreams the last couple of nights. |

YES you have probably discovered the meaning fo the dream. Its about that sense of taking control. Your dream deals with it. Yet its easy to get distracted in the details of the dreams storyline. Its not really about money or your ex husband or anything like that. Its about the balanoey that you not be prepared to take at that time. Dreams capture this kind of feeling. The moments from the day before and strategies that you adiopt that day and the little mood swings.
----------------------------- The father of modern dream interpretation is not Freud or Jung but rather Jon Winson. But he never made a single dream interpretation. Instead he conducted research into the mind and established that certain brainwaves (theta waves) only appear during the night time. During the day we store up all new experiences and feelings in short term memory. Then at night we start to work through what happened the previous day and we integrate these into long term memory blocks. Then finally we clear short term memory blocks ready to start the process again the next day. Its likely that any dreams we have are linked to these brain functions. The weird images and feelings once deciphered capture our own feelings and new insights into the world around us. So the dreams then will often link to specific events from the day before and to new ways in which our world has been reshaped. It may simply link to our paranoias and fantasies. If we are focused on something about to happen in the near future then the dreams may link to that. Each dream captures one specific feeling or thought process. It's very difficult for me to see what's going on in my own dreams for some reason, but it does seem to reveal certain issues going on within me when I seem rather complicated even to myself.
I can see how dreams speak in a language that deals in concepts, rather than words, but when I'm wrapped up in them, it's very hard to see the concepts. And my dreams seem so complex that I can't even find reasonable definitions of symbols. For example, I keep having dreams of tiny animals (the tiny elephant, dolphin, and last night it was a very tiny little baby chick about a quarter inch long). I get caught up in the curiousity and complexity of them. And recently another dream with a blue man-like demon that tried to get in my car, which left when I made it leave, but then a reddish-pinkish dove-like angel came to comfort and reassure me. Then last night another church-related dream with a naked man who had been supposedly released of a demon of "stubbornness" (but I was skeptical even in my dream). The variety always leaves me wanting to understand, but they can be so weird, it seems too complicated even to record them. |

Well I have loads of experience of dream symbolism and I still get loads of problems. Its really difficult ot tell which is the key symbol. And then you get porobelms like yours. A dream dictionary will give plenty of information on lots of things but not on the specific thing you want top know about. there are plaenty of references to dolphins but none to dolphins dancing in little fury pink outfits. or dolphins who are small or dolphins that are trying to sort out their tax returns. The combinations of dream symbols is almost limitless.
Its not easy but eventually when you solvbe a dream it can be satisfying ----------------------------- Its vital to understand the process of dreams. Most dreams simply reorder the mind and sort through memories from the previous day. Dreams represent the ways in which our mind has been reshaping.
