| General Chit-Chat Kind of like a lounge, just come in and talk about anything at all. Relax, this is like the water cooler at the office. |

Hi all.
Most probably someone has already asked this question at some point, but I have nowhere else to ask. Is it possible for two people with some sort of bond (ie. gf/bf, ex's, friends, brothers, etc) -and miles of distance- between them to have the same dream on the same night? I'm quite curious... |

'Mutual dreams' can happen. Some years ago. college tutor told me about one she had. She was standing in her house looking out a window. Seeing a friend walking through her garden, she waved. The friend saw her, and waved back. Next morning she was talking to this friend about the dream. And was surprised by the friend's response. She said she saw the tutor in the window waving at her, so that's why she responded! Carl Jung wrote about something he called the Collective Conciousness. A kind of 'communal databank' that we all 'access' without realising it. So in dreams, the subconcious mind probably acts like a 'code' or 'key'. I hope this helps. Cheers, Jon.

Apparently the people ion the island of corsica have a culture of shared dreams. They decide to have a dream on a particular subject. The strange thing is that tourists seem to have remarkably similar dreams at the same time even when they have no knowledge of the dream of others
------------------------ When you get a dream think carefully about which direction you are currently looking. Are you looking back towards yesterday and something that happened and how you reacted. Or are you looking forward to the day to come. If you are looking forward then its likely the dream is about some thoughts or fears about the day to come. That's very interesting. I've never had any evidence that it's happened to me but I certainly believe it to be possible.
.....I hope that my husband's brother didn't share the VERY sexy dream I had about him....or, I just hope I never find out that he did, I would be so embarassed. |
