Well i have managed to induce dreams but it is difficult.

Method 1- I drew a picture of what i wanted to dream and focused on that until i went to sleep

method 2- I played a specific scenario in my head until i went to sleep

Thats all i know, but it doesn't work all the time

Silent_wisp has two good suggestions.

I would like to recommend watching a good movie or reading a good book, esp ones with strong characters and storylines and plenty of action!

Or possibly a movie or book where you think you could 'improve' on plot, character, ending, etc! Who knows. Maybe you could be the next J K Rowling!!

Or think about a problem that has been worrying you during the day, esp at work, and see whether any of your dreams resolve it!

Cheers. Jon

Hi,
There are many ways to induce dreams you remember, However first I have to tell you that the best dreams are the ones you dont remember! Dreams do important tasks while you sleep and if all's well with you, they vanish on waking. When you have a rough night or there is something amiss, you will remember your dreams.
Dreams that are induced artificially are harmful to the brain. Some drugs disturb the balance of the brain and you vill get vivid dreams, but drugs may also distroy many brain cells. If you keep check on when you can remember your dreams, every so often you may find that they are occasions when you felt unwell.
Stick to what nature gave you don't follow ignorance!
Cheers Wolfjk

I'm sure you're right, Wolfjk!

Dreams do important tasks while you sleep and if all's well with you, they vanish on waking. When you have a rough night or there is something amiss, you will remember your dreams.

After I rough night, all I want to do is stay in bed....

If you keep check on when you can remember your dreams, every so often you may find that they are occasions when you felt unwell!

I find that the most vivid dreams are the rare occasions when I have flu. The images change more rapidly, and the colours and sounds are sharper. They can also appear more realistic. I seem to recall more from these, than any other dreams too....

Cheers. Jon

Thats interesting Woldjk, but how would your dreams help you if you did not remember them and try and analyze them?

To try and have a specific dream HereForDreams write down the dream you want to have every night before you go to sleep. By doing so you will literaly be burning this into your brain. This won't do you much good though because "all dreams come in health and wholeness" Jeremy Taylor. If you force a dream it won't help you unless it is something you that you think will help you. So for instance wanting to fly in a dream, won't help you. But if you have a proplem in life and want to resolve it, then it will help you. Though your subconscious mind will have the dream for you if it is important, so concentrate on remember your dreams more than creating them.

For remembering dreams, when you wake up try and remember your dream and write it down. After doing this you will remember more dreams and more details of your dreams because your mind will get in the habit of doing so. I used to never pay attention to my dreams, but when I got into the idea of dreams and decided I was going to write down my dreams I started remembering more of my dreams and in more detail.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the post.
The dreams would be even more vivid if you took some smelly medicines. I had to stop using an oil because the dreams it caused!
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi Darkstar,
I have been studying my dreams for a long time. Dreams do their work while you sleep. In fact dreams are an essential control system that look after you while you sleep and wake you when you had enough sleep or when it is necessary for you to wake up. After waking dreams have very little use. Sometimes they tell you what caused the dream, and generally, if the dreamer is literate, they give an indication of the dreamers general character.
Anayising dreams is creatively imagining what they might be about.
Quote:
"all dreams come in health and wholeness" Jeremy Taylor.
In fact you remember most of your dreams when there is something wrong in sleep. Bad sleeping position, pain, or if you have to attend to bodily needs. And of course there are the nightmares that wake you when you are in mortal danger.
Dreams that come in "health and wholeness" you seldom remember.
Cheers Wolfjk

Indeed, Wolfjk. Eucalytus Oil can have odd effects. Especially if you put some drops in a bowl of hot water, place a towel over your head, and inhale deeply! [No wonder Koalas look so dopey.] But this is one of the few effective ways I've found of alleviating my catarrh problems....

Cheers, Jon.
