Hi, first time here. Stumbled upon this forum while googling around for advice.
The last week has been kinda crazy for me. It started when I began seeing this spirit in my bedroom. I'm used to seeing ghosts but he is different. He stares at me and his smile is cold and gives me shivers. The next night I started dreaming about him. I have ordinary dreams, sometimes nightmares and he is in all of them, just observing the scenario from a distance and always with that creepy smile. What scared me the most happened last thursday. He had been popping in and out of my room in the evening so I decided to take a walk and see if he would leave while I was out. I walked atop of this hill and as I neared the top I could see him there, like he was waiting for me. When I reached the top he had vanished. I was admiring the view, when all of a sudden I get this blow to the back of my head. I didn't see my attacker but he whacked me until I fell to my knees and started seeing black spots. When I could look up there was no-one there. It seemed so unreal I almost couldn't believe it had happened except for the bumps on my head. When I got home he was there again so I locked myself in my bathroom. He terrified me by pounding on the door. I didn't have any dreams or sightings of him over the weekend but I dreamed him again last night. This is scaring me to death. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? Any advice? Or am I just crazy? |

Hi,
If awaken or in the dream, I think whispering these short prayers will help you. Please whisper when you are afraid of him. Let me know the result. Good luck. The dawn) In the name of God, the beneficent, the Merciful. 1. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn. 2. From the evil of what He has created, 3. And from the evil of the utterly dark night when he comes, 4. And from the evil of those who blow on knots, 5. And from the evil of the envious when he envies. (The men) In the name of God, the beneficent, the Merciful. 1. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men, 2. The king of men, 3. The God of men, 4. From the evil of the whisperings of the slinking (Shaitan), 5. Who whispers into the hearts of men, 6. From among the jinn and the men. The cow 2:62 In the name of God Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the christens, and the Sabians, whoever believes in God and the last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

I share not dissimilar experiences to yours but I am not plagued constantly by them; I refer to them as 'my friends' and whoever they are or whatever it is, often helps me. The help does not arrive in the manner that I would expect but it does come and it is only afterwards that I realise the help provided. Fortunately I am not intimidated by them although have been in the past. The fear arose from within myself and not what was at the time happening. When I ask for peace I am given it. When I ask where it (or they) have gone when things are quite then they return. I find their presence comfortable knowing that I am not alone. I am quite advanced in age and such events have been with me as far back as I can recall (early infancy) and I accept them as part of existence but they have never been malevolent so I am unable to assist you. I am interested in those experiences of yours and glad to note that I am not the only one who has them. Thanks for you post.

Hi Aislin,
There was a TV programm on a sleep clinic in the UK recently. You would be surprised how some poeple thrash about in sleep. Quote:
My experience is that a lot of our dreams are violent and frightening in deep sleep, however we do not and should not remember them. Some sleepers do remember these frightening dreams and sometime act on them. At a sleep clinic your movements would be watched on a close cicuit Tv. The spirits you see in your dream are not real - they are there to bring you near waking. Cheers Wolfjk

Thanks for the good thoughts
Varzandeh -I will try this, thanks. Jennings -It is good to know that I am not alone in this. I see other spirits usually but this guy seems to scare them away as they never visit while he is with me. I've never felt so threatened by a ghost before. Wolfjk -I don't think I dreamt what happened on top of the hill and though the man comes into my dreams I'm not dreaming when I say I'm seeing him in my bedroom. But thanks for the thought though Last edited by Aislin : 06-28-2007 at 10:47 PM. |

I posted a reply yesterday but it did'nt show up. If you think you are seeing him either in your bedroom or on top of a hill, you might be having short sleeps while you thingk you're awake. It would probably put your mind to rest if you asked your doctors advice. Cheers Wolfjk

I once had such an experience. There was a 'presence' in my room, very menacing and black and it basically freaked me out. At the time I remember praying to God to help me, and slowly I felt better. I also remember thinking of my best friend as I prayed. Turned out she had the exact same experience as me on the same night and also prayed and thought of me. My advise is that if you are scared, you should think of all the good things in your life, and pray to whoever or whatever you believe in. Remember you are stronger than anything that seeks to scare you, and good always wins over evil.

Aislin, I see and speak to spirits (some use the word "ghosts"), and I have friendly spirit guides. I have also met up with spirits whom I believe/d to be malevolent.
It has been my experience, however, that generally speaking, spirits do not have the physical ability to physically touch you like you described. My experience with spirits is that they are not physically substantial. Yes - I have heard of poltergeists - the only kind of spirit (or "ghost") who is alleged to be able to move physical objects; but I have never personally encountered one. It is certainly quite possible that a spirit is attempting to communicate with you. However, if you are unable to find a way to communicate with this spirit, or if it frightens you and you cannot get it to stop scaring you, then you need professional help. Speak to a clergyperson of your particular religious choice. I don't mean to brush your problem off, but it would be extremely irresponsible of me (or anyone else) to attempt to guide you, in this format, through the processes of communicating with a spirit, and even worse to attempt to tell you, in this format, how to force a spirit in any way. I have just one other piece of advice: Besides the fact that honey draws more flies than vinegar, if you believe in any form of rebound or retribution for one's actions, then it is certainly better to use gentle means than harsh means, if at all possible. Try to find a clergyperson who sees things that way also. |

I just posted a thread about my vivid and restless dreams and then read yours... There was one time when I was young that I gave myself a concussion in my sleep when I smacked my head hard on the headboard in the middle of the night. I had a headache for days, part of having a concussion... Anyway, with experience of waking up with knots in my head and also having vivid dreams recently, try Valerian Root. It is natural and can be found at any pharmacy... Read my post "Restless Dreams" Let me know how it works for you, should you decide to try it. Nobel808@aol.com Re: Restless Dreams

Well..., You have a classical case of a demonic presence. I do know what I am talking about. At a place in my past I was possessed by evil spirits. They are disembodied from the time of rebellion against God. The sons of God (some angels) looked upon the daughters of men and saw that they were fair and took as many as they desired to be their wives. In turn these women gave birth to the giants or the nephillim (misspelled). These hybreds were those drowned in the flood--Noah and the ark. When they drowned they were allowed to roam the earth. Angels or Satan cannot occupy a person, they have their own bodies. Demons have occupied their own bodies (which were flesh like ours)and can enter bodies and create havoc on mankind. There have been a few places where I have been to work with and see the manifestation of demonic activity. I have never, in working with those possessed or opressed, seen a good demon. Demons are always evil. Every demon lies to people. You were hit because he is going to try and enter you. If it is abusing you now it will the rest of your life. He is setting you up to make you his slave for his own pleasure. Do you know how to get rid of it? O, yeah, they love fear and doubt.
