I had a friend tell me once that people can actually meet in dreams. Is that true or just bunk?

I seem to recall this question being asked fairly recently but one to which I did not respond. I have no direct knowledge of this feature yet I have some personal evidence that the possiblity is feasible. I have often dreamt of buildings (why I do not know) in advance of either working or living there. Often I have been able to anticipate the outcome of an event so, with this kind of experience, meeting people seems to be reasonably logical even though it might sound absurd. It will be interesting to read what others might have to say on this subject.

Well personally I think that the majority of dreams represent our personal thoughts. But I do believe that some dreams can be telepathic or precognitive. I interpret all dreams in a similar way. Yet some dreams seem to link more to the future than the past. They can link to some surprise event on the actual day of the dream. I believe that dreams can be telepathic as well. If someone you know is thinking about you or who has a close connection with you then dreams can be telepathic. So if a dream seems seems dramatic and their are no dramatic things going oin in your life then its possible thatits telepathic or precognitive. But such dreas are very difficult to interpret
------------------ Learning how to interpret dreams is not easy but one good way to help is to read some dreams that have correctly interpreted. Some people believe it. There are some forumsthat deal with mutual dreaming. Some dreamers even seek permission to meet in dreams! My experience with dreams are that it concerns only the dreamer, and the sleep it happens in. Dreams are the control mechanism for sleep and waking and use only the sleeper's own memory bank of past experiences, creative ability and imagination. However if a person believes or imagines anything - be it ever so implausible - the experience of it registers in the memory bank. The subconscious mind uses the experience freely to create dreams with it. There are other kinds of mutual dreaming that came about by to sleeper eating similar foods, doing the same things, watching the same plays, et-cet -ra. Our physical make up is very similar and we react to influences in similar fashion. Cheers Wolfjk

All the people in your dreams are part of yourself and your psyche, so its very unlikely that some other person can be part of your dream. Now that being said I personally have seen girls in a dream, that resembled some girls I met in my waking life. So who knows. There are different levels of dreaming.

But, I note, you haven't said 'impossible'! There are different levels of dreaming. There are indeed. So I like to keep an 'open mind', as anything is possible in dreams. I believe some are 'doorways' to the past and future. Cheers, Jon.

I do believe that some dreams - not most, but some few - are prescient (precognitive). For the most part, one's dreams consist of one's own mind's workings. In other words, most people's dreams, most of the time, are their own subconscious minds speaking to themselves - no more and no less. There are very few among most of us who posess the talent (or gift, if you will) of the ability to have/dream prescient dreams. All of the various forms of extra-sensory perception (precognition, telepathy, clairvoyance, telekinesis, retrovoyance, psychometry, etc.) are quite rare; most people do not posess them. There is also something called astral projection, which is not, per se, ESP; it is easier for more people to accomplish astral projection than to develop any of the ESP talents. Even so - to accomplish astral projection requires a large amount of mental discipline, along with a lot of training, and much hard work and excercise over a long period of time. Is meeting someone for the first time in a dream impossible? No. Is it very likely? No. Has it happened to anybody that any single one of us knows personally? *shrug* Don't wager the proverbial farm on it... |

recently I met a 14ft tall man and a 12 foot tall man both were friends and I rushed to help them because they crashed into a wall. Weird I know but what does that mean I don't know.
