PLEASE HELP!
First, let me start by saying that I was never fearful in this dream. It was in color, and very detailed. I am at a huge dam with a man who is an archeologist of sorts (for lack of a better word) of rare and unusual animals. We are at the top of this dam overlooking where they release water into the lake. There is a metal rail, with a platform attached that travels at super speed along side of the water spill, into the lake. I step on to the platform and ride it down (something my awaking self would never do! Yet in this dream, it felt exhilarating and thrilling). I get out of the lake, and step onto the bank to see the man dragging the lake looking for something. He pulls out the skull of a Rhino, and seems disappointed that it is not as rare or unusual as he would have liked (I am fascinated by the details of the skulls and I want it). We are now waking though a jungle and come upon a house. We go in the house where there are a few other people (male and female, I know none). I see hundreds of snakes of all different sizes, shapes, patterns, and colors (I feel confident, but the other people are frightened). I tell everyone to let the snakes move as they please and to be very still and they will not hurt or bite them. A beautiful silver snake begins to move up my left arm, to my chin, then past my mouth. The snake pulls its’ head back, looks at me, and we kiss (I sense that it is a pet, and I feel it needs protecting from some of the bigger snakes). I go into a different room and see a bed with lots of smaller snakes on it. I lie down on the bed and go to sleep (I had a feeling of well being). Allow me to explain the sensations and thoughts I experienced in what is to follow: I feel as though I am having an out of body experience and it feels as if I am experiencing real-time. I am seeing things unfold around me while being asleep with the snakes in my 2nd sleep, of which is inside my 1st dream. I am watching the man chasing after a huge snake (I get the impression that he wants to kill it). He is in a room with water on the floor, a fence, metal shelves, and downed electrical wires all over the place. The man loses his balance and falls against the fence. There are sparks flying everywhere and there is this bright illumination all about (I know the man is being electrocuted, and I am profoundly sad; however, I cannot bring myself to look away, the sparks and illumination are extraordinary. As I watch all this I ask my self, “how can I be seeing this, when I know I’m sleeping on the bed with the snakes in the other room?). The man is now skeleton and ashes (I also had a feeling that all is as it should be, and never did I feel malious or evil of any kind). When I woke, I felt like I had been dreaming for hours, it was quite intense. I am having difficulty interpreting this dream. Good greif!! did I dream, inside of a dream, inside of a dream????? Help will be appreciated. |

I note that you are posting the same threads twice; is there any reason for doing this?

Understandable, and as I too am unable to come to your aid other than to suggest that you highlight it and delete with possibly adding a short apology, but beyond that 'join the club'!
I'll give some thought to your dream hopefully a little later today. |

Hi
Well I have two comments to make about your dreams. But first try to remember that dreams can be aboiut quite specific things and will often relate very strongly to the day before. The dream mind is also very strongly linked to the creation of ideas and conceptual thoughts. So try to think what new and conceptual thoughts that you had the day before. Indeed try to jot some down. Try a list like this "Yesterday my sister was behaving oddly. I sense something is going on. But I am not quite quite" "YESTERDAY I was learning how to use a new software package. I thinkI shoudl try to use the manual much more" "I am a little stressed out right now. I have been trying to do to much. Its affecting the quality of my work" As we go through life we make slight adjustments to what we do. We make assessemnts and they are stored in the unconscious brain. The dream features some key points. Try to make associations with real life. The dream features palaentology. So try to think through what scientific types thinsg were going throughb your mind at the time of the dream. It does nothave to relate specifically to palaentology but any rational and scientific thinking that you have though about in some way. Snakes are often symbols nof traps and tricks. But I think not in this case. They can occasionally be linked to creative ideas and thoughts. These difficult to capture philosophical ideas are equally fast moving and difficult to capture. Dreams often have key moments. In the dream you are fascinated by the intricate detail of something. What in real life where you fascinated by real life detail? Where you engrossed by something the day before? Dreams can occasdionally be symbolic of events and feelings about to happen(premonitions). Thats my opinion as dreams seem to often capture specific emotions about to happen. They capture some key moments or emotions specifically from the day to come. I actually think that this dream may be related to dreams and your recent interest in these. Th edream seems to concentrate on some highly intricate and difficult subject(dream interpretaion). It maybe involves issues which are difficult and dangerous to capture (a bit like snakes). In some ways the way you want the snakes to be left alone shows your specific thoughts on something. Perhaps it shows that you are trying to allow your brian to think freely and allow it to make free associations. That the dream plays out your own wish to allow your own mind to think freely. So in a sense its a learning dream. Thats just a guess though. Its based rather on the fact that dream interpreting can be highly engrossing. In a real sense its a dificult subject to capture. Its a subject that is scientific ( a bit liek palaelongtology). Often snakes are linked in to this subject as dream interpretation often involves analysis of key symbols like snakes. The dream also features you sleeping. So thats a direct connection to sleep and dreams(maybe). Many dreams are highly symbolic. They will feature a series of symbols which make up a bizarre story. These dreams do make sense but only symbolically. In fact you can guess that such dreams will link to something that you have been clarifying within your mind. So if you get a symbolic dream think about such conceptual ideas you have been clarifying. Have you been thinking through and forming some conclusion on some issue? Have you been devising a strategy towards something? Try to write down several quotes which capture such conceptual thinking within your mind. E.g. "I think I should trust my son to make his own mistakes" or "I want to approach my essay with a very bold style" or "I think I have become much more accepted and respected at work". It is likely that any quote you write down is likely to be linked to the dreams symbolic meaning. To understand the symbols try using my dream dictionary at A dream dictionary that explores the variety of meanings in a dream symbol One symbol contained within your dream is listed below. Try to see how the dream symbol relates to any quotes which you have written down which capture your own feelings right now. BASEMENTS : Basements are where our negative feelings reside. So if your dream involves a basement try to think of negative and resentful thoughts that have particularly featured in your thoughts recently. It may suggest that you are bitter about something, that you have been bottling things up or simply sensitive about something. It may simply be that you have been accused of being negative. KEY WORDS(Try to spot these quotes in your own feelings - especially think of the day before) : - "bottling up feelings" - "objections" - "negative and resentful thoughts" - "he is sensitive about it!" - "Am I hiding some deeply negative feelings inside me?" - "Do they really dislike each other?" Its also useful to read through some real dreams. That will show you how dreams are analysed and how you can go about decoding them.
