For those who are new to dream interpretation, I really recommend looking at Unclesirbobby's "Cleopatra Dream Dictionary". I started using it in December and it has been very helpful to me. I now can understand most of my dreams on my own. At first it took me a lot of time to go through each dream symbol but now it does not take as much time. In fact, the day before yesterday I had a dream with many symbols in it, but I looked up the one thing that stood out the most in my mind when I woke up, and when I read about that symbol, I laughed because I instantly knew who/what that symbol represented from a incident that happened the day before. And by understanding that symbol, the pieces to the puzzle of my dream fell into place. His dictionary really is not a dictionary. It is really a dream tutor so it guides you to understanding your dream without just giving a one word definition to each dream symbol. Therefore, it takes time to work through. Once I worked through my first dream, it made me much more appreciative of the people that helped me with my dreams on this board in the past. At the same time, I think it is very satisfying and much more reliable to be able to figure out our own dreams. I have noticed sometimes people ask for a dream interpretation and someone helps them but the poster never responds back. If they only realized it takes some time and thought to give an interpretation, they might consider giving a thank you or response. I think it would be helpful to the interpreter to get feedback on the interpretation, but that is just my opinion.

I know I often think its bad when people do not post back. When I post a message on a forum I usually respond back with a thank you.
With dreams its totally necessary to write back as background information is really needed. I know that you find my dictionary useful and thank you for that. But if I remeber back you may easily have wandered away not having solved your dreams. If I remember rightly your first ever dream here was to do with some argument or something. But anyway you were only able to solve the dreams meaning by refering back to your own diary. I often see dreams as refering to brain processes and issues currently involving our own minds. That may link to some worries about a relatinship, it may revolve around some task at work.. it may simply mean that you are annoyed at your present inability to sleep properly. Whjatever it is dreams refer to immediate brain processes and particularly the day before. That really makes sense doesn't it - dreams refer to things actually in your mind right now Its nice to hear about the cleopatra dream dictionary - its not a term I presently use anymore. I just call it the dream dictionary ------------------------ There is absolutely no way of truely knowing what a dream means. The dream language is not one that is easy to understand. There is no way to check if your interpretation is the correct one. There is no answer at the back of the book that is correct. Dreams do seem to link to recent events and in particular the day before. But they can also refer to premonitions and telepathy. Dreams then can work on many levels. Many people say that there are exxagerated claims about premonitions. It maybe true that a premonition can never be truely linked to some actual real life event. Yet it is also true that a conventional dream analyser can never truely say that a dream is linked to the dreamers own pyschology and recent thinking. All we can do is guess and hope that we have true understanding. Many dreams remain a mystery. We know that they may link to some event but their precise meaning seems often truely mysterious. Oh this is WONDERFUL Unclesirbobby!!! I will definitely try it out next time I have a dream. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! I just hope other people will find the great benefit of your dictionary as well. Moreover, I wonder if you are continually adding to it as you interpret more dreams and discover more symbols or is it final and complete?

well its final and complete until I start to work through the dreams again. I have a folder at home on my computer with dreams which are deemed to be correctly interpreted. Some symbols are more than adaquately covered. I search through the folder of these text files on certain key words. Some of the topic have enough entires to make the page comprehensive. Other have very few references. For instance volcanoes I do not truly understand in dreams. I have some idea but the symbol is not adaquately covered but I would have to wait until there are enough correctly interpreted dreams on a particular subject.
I will shortly move the entire site to new webspace. It should vbe revamped then. I have neglected it recently. But thats only because the geocities webspace is not particularly good. The dream computer program may confuse people. Its just listing quotes so far. I may revamp it so it includes the entire set of features on the webite ----------------------------- The dream mind is a conceptual mind. So expect the meaning of a dream to be a conceptual meaning. Try to think about the ideas and emotions that are forming in your mind. Dreams can be about health issues, they can be about relationships, they can simply reflect some paranoias in your mind. Simply put dreams are about the STUFF in your mind. So instead of trying to interpret the dream try to think about ideas forming in your mind. Whats more dreams concentrate on new feelings. They capture those moments when your feelings change. For instance the moment when you started to mistrust your boyfriend. Try this page as it shows you how to spot the issues which trigger dreams Dream symbolism - How to use dream symbols Learn how to capture in quotes the concepts and ideas that will be the subject of your dreams ------------- http://scarboroughphotos.110mb.com/surfers/surfcity.php |
