Hey just wondering what's going on with my sleep cycle. I try to go to sleep with a smile on my face every night and fall asleep easily, but I always have vivid dreams that I don't like and I'm always waken up by these dreams in the morning. The funny thing is, that when I'm waken up by these dreams and even though I don't like them or they're unwelcome, I'll try to go back to sleep to continue having the dream, completely forgetting that I didn't want to have the dream and that I had waken up to stop having the dream. (possibly)
It also feels like I'm not completely rested. I read another post about sleep apnea I might look into that. P.S. Glad to have joined! ![]() |

What you describe is the normal sleep pattern. You have the waking dreams when you get uncomfortable near the morning to change your sleeping position and have another stretch of sleep. However it is possible that some part of your body starts hurting, or you turn onto your back, which makes breathing difficult. In these cases the dreams are more vivid than a normal dream would be. If you can find out your sleeping position or feel for any pain in arms or legs. Otherwise just go back to sleep again and forget about your dreams. Cheers Wolfjk PS, If you're overweight that makes breathing more difficult when sleeping on your back.

If you have trouble sleeping, take Magnesium supplements. They should be taken in divided doses not with meals, and one dose before bedtime. Thereafter, you will sleep like a baby. If you wake up because of frequent urination, then take 1/4 tsp of sea salt at bedtime as well.
The basics: Too much at one time causes diarrhea because Magnesium relaxes the involuntary muscles including the colon. Do not take it with meals because that interferes with normal digestion. Calcium makes your muscles contract. Magnesium makes them relax. Magnesium helps heart, lungs (asthma), lowers high blood pressure and does a host of other good things. It is especially recommended for people who work with their muscles such as sports people, carpenters, workmen, and even race horses. Read about it below. The author says 80% of the people in the West are Magnesium deficient: The Magnesium Miracle | Carolyn Dean MD ND Better yet, buy the book. We did and learned a lot from it. |

The hour before and during dawn is peak for dream activity in people...Why? I don't know, but it's universal....And if you're not feeling "rested" it's possible it's due to traveling...Consciousness does not always remain in the body during sleep...You say that you are a "vivid" dream, which is often indicative of a dreamtime soul traveler....You can take some pills or watch what you eat...lol...but it's not really going to make a difference...Embrace it and have fun...You might want to try an exercise where you focus your conscousness (before sleep) on a specific place or person and see if you can program you unconscious to take you there while in the Dreaming.
