Discussion- Christianity
I would just like to discuss various topics from the Bible. Just a friendly discussion and maybe debate on beliefs.

By the way... The reason I started this thread is for people wanting to debate/discuss/argue/ ect. on their beliefs in Christianity. I have see quite a few threads start out as interpreting or encouraging dreams to do Christianity lead to debates/arguments about beliefs, so I thought I would save many the trouble of waiting for those threads and start. Here you should take a load off your chest and discuss to your hearts content.

What about Revelations do you want to know? The basic understanding of Revelations is that the last book in the Bible is about the end-times. What will happen, who will rise to power and a possible prediction of what date.
Hint: It's not 21 Dec 2012.

Well in Revelation there is this part when they are talking about 7 seals. I do not really understand what these seals are. And each time one of these seals are open a different event is described, those are hard for me to understand. Also I am very curious what the last opened seal revealed, because he is not allowed to describe what he has seen.

I do not take Biblical Interpretation literally. Even after a lifetime of Catholic School. I believe the Holy Spirit exists in everyone and everything...it is the life of creations...You need only acknowledge it...There is no good magic without it.

Acknowledging that the Holy Spirit is not enough. You must follow what the Holy Bible says and to Repent of your sins, Be baptized in Jesus name and Then be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues.... I think I have read a posting of your were you said that dreams are sometimes just what they are with no hidden meanings. Have you thought the Bible is like that sometimes to. People have a tendency to look for hidden meanings, but sometimes they are right in front of you.

That is where you are wrong. You do not need to be baptized in order to be saved or to "Repent" your sins. You need only accept and acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Savior. However, if you're Catholic or Mormon it's more than just that. A "Baptist" Christian, like myself, need only accept and acknowledge Him.

Acts 2 38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 19 2: He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3: And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4: Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5: When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6: And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. I will find more scriptures to prove that you Have to be filled with the holy spirit and speak in tongues
