Default Dreams that make you jump?

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, But some of threads on this forums are VERY LONG to search through lol

What do you think of dreams when you are woken up by a jolt, like as though you have tripped up over something?

Someone i was speaking to was trying to tell me that when your asleep your soul drifts into different planes? and that when you wake up with a jolt its your soul landing back into your body

Does this make sense to you ?

Hi,
What you describe is quite normal. Some parts of your body relax earlier than others and the jolt makes them catch up.

He or she was trying to impress you. Dreams are created by your subconscious and that never leaves you! However it can create dreams that distort reality. It can even create dreams thatmake you feel out of your body. In certain circumstances it is necessary!

This happens to me all the time, I never understood why it was happening. I would hope that its not my soul trying to leave my body though lol.

I love the idea, but I am not sold either. I have had dreams n wakenings as such. When I finally got married, I found through my husband(ex), that I would stop breathing before I'd slip out of dreaming. That was one reason for me to wake up suddenly with a jump. Some of my dreaming were startling awakenings do to trauma while dreaming. Some I woke from a jolt, it felt like a message was given to me and the door was shut in my face kinda feeling and I would sit up breathless and startled. it was during these times I started looking up dream interpretations. Good Luck and keep dreaming.

Hi Simplymoon,

The condition you describe ave is called "sleep apnea" It is caused by some obstruction to breathing during sleep. Some sleeping positions can also cause it. The condition is worse for people who are overweight. The dreams happen in the few mili-seconds when you stop breathing and are designed to wake you up, or restart the breathing. The condition is not dangerous, hawever it causes tiredness on waking.
Far from leaving the body, the soul or subconscious is there to look after it!
Cheers Wolfjkk

That would be an out of body experience. that is very dangerous and most of the time requires to me is a harmfull meditation. For myself when I awake the way you are speaking of, It is a body shock that is my body and mind is very tired and as I am falling deeper into my sleep my body just lets off a jump just a body shock. somtimes I also maybe drifting off into a dream when this happens and that makes it a little scary. BLESSINGS TO YOU.
