I have a question, or/and more of an interest on people's opinion on what it means, and what TENSE do you think faith deals with.
For example, if theres (3) people....and the 1st person says something negative about the 3rd person. Then the 2nd person says,"I have faith in him." Would this be considered to be Present or Future tense? Thanks a bunch! Hazel |

I agree with Laucashel, otherwise you might say 'I'll have faith in him tomorrow' or next week, month and so on.

On the other hand if you say: "I had faith in him" it is in the past tense with an extra hidden meaning that you last faith in him!" Isn't English wonderful? Cheers Wolfjk

It would be more wonderful if you learn other languages. You can have many international friends. I speak 5 dialects of my country that every island has different dialect (over 70 dialects) and some Spanish words. I also know some Japanese words when I am together with my Japanese friends. and some Hebrew when my niece is with me, she worked in Izrael over five years and now she is in working in UK.

Hi, thankyou guys for the responses!
It seems most people believe its present tense. Only I see it as both present & future tense......Future-tense in the sense that when person (1) makes the negative comment about the (3)rd person...As in that 3rd person cannot grasp or perceive a specific concept. The (2)nd person then says "I have faith in him." Doesnt that mean that eventually the person Will someday grasp it, if not today then "someday?" |
