I'm kind of confused by my dreams, and I was wondering if anyone else has them or has any insight on them. Lately I've been having all kinds of horrible dreams where I'm being tortured (last one I had my legs cut open, ewww) or being kidnapped or held at gun point, or someone is going to kill me... all things that should point to having a nightmare, right? But I can be in the worst possible dream, and instead of feeling terrified or anxious or scared while in the dream, I'm very intrigued by what is going on and even a bit impassive. There have been times where I even want to be kidnapped or I want the dream to continue. I've shared my dreams with friends who are all very confused and don't understand why I'm not feeling any emotion other then a rush of adenaline or maybe a little bit of curiousity. Help? Thanks so much in advance. |

hi faline
if it isn't terribly disturbing i wouldn't worry about it the main this is that you are aware of it i had a recent dream where someone was comming at me with a sword, i just happened to have one also, but didn't put much effort into defending myself, his sword slashed my arm - the cool thing was, like you say, it didn't hurt and wasn't particularly upsetting. cheers walkingcorpse |

Quote:
It is quite normal! That is the way dreams work. If you have a problem in sleep, your subconscious creates a dream that brings you near waking; if its absolutely necessary it will wake you up. However many bad dreams are caused by bad sleeping positions or digestion problems. A violent dream will actually make you change your sleeping position and the dream continues in a more pleasant form.
